I was definitely on the "I can't envision my vote going to anyone else but Sampha" train, but Sinkane is really winning me over. I'm more of a sucker for fun than emotional music.
Ya, that Sinkane album is great. Only had 1 listen to it so far, but look forward to my next. Some of the songs brought me right back to that legendary Atomic Bomb! set, could feel that same energy.
I really enjoy Sampha's album. but it doesnt scream album of the month to me. more of a 4th place. 1-3 will probably be some order of Sinkane, Ryan Adams, and Dirty Projectors. I love Sinkane's album and really enjoy the singles off the other two.
I've tried this new Lupe Fiasco album three times and can't get into it... I loved his last two albums. Do I need to listen to it more... or is this just a dud? As the kids today say... it's kinda "basic".

As someone who absolutely loved Tetsuo and Youth, it's not just you. Basic would be an excellent adjective for it

Glad it's not just me! I loved T&Y, too. It was one of my favorite albums that year. F&L and F&L2, too.

Really love this album been listening all weekend. Definitely honored some William Onyeabor on the album. If he were to get added to Bonnaroo i'd be really happy. Not getting my hopes up though.
This month boils down to Alison Krauss and Ryan Adams, so far, for me. They are both so great... even better is creating a playlist shuffle with the two albums and playing them together.
This is a super strong month for me between Dirty Projectors, Sinkane, King Gizz, and All Them Witches. I still haven't even heard King Gizz and ATW yet, nor the full Dirty Projectors. I have a feeling any one of these 4 could take my vote in a typical month.
What does Russia want? What is their goal, their endgame? I don't know enough about history/the current state of international affairs to properly understand their current actions.

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out that album as well.

*immediately goes to listen to this Sinkane Album*
Is there just one person out there that has listened to the Lowly album? Even if you didn't like it.. I had no idea how frustrated I could get over not having a single person to talk to about an album with
I feel like if you're a fan of Susanne Sundfer, Julia Holter, and/or Animal Collective, you will really enjoy this album. Not saying it sounds directly like those bands, but I get the same type of enjoyment out of it that I get from those bands. Scratches the same itch.. It's European semi-synthy, indie art pop
