Pitchfork more than almost any other site you have to just learn who the good reviewers are. She's not bad, she just has a higher bar for greatness than most.
Really enjoying Masseduction (though I keep reading it as Mass Education). I dont think I can keep up with all this new music to ever vote. Pills(which reminds me of a BagelBites commerical), Los Ageless and SugarBoy are jams though.

This month's easy. I can't see more than 5 or 6 different albums getting votes and you've already listened to the winner.

Last month just had so many, but I would have ended up voting for LCD (mutemath personally but I may have been the only voter for that). There is a lot of album I end up listening to in pieces at work or in the car which doesn't really suffice to the whole experience. Anyways, you're right. The vote so far is Masseduction

I keep track of my own little ratings so I know what's worth going back to. And it helps create a baseline for my end of the year lists.
It's definitely a good way to keep track of things for yourself. And you rate it for yourself, not for a website.
I just wish more websites only write a review about an album, but not give a score to it.
While this comment is engaging in its brevity and introduces a new idea to the conversation, it ultimately lacks the depth and the imagery necessary to make it a top-notch comment. None of the ideas are expounded upon, so they ultimately fall short of creating a true experience within the reader. It is criticism without bite; unnecessary restraint. Only time will tell if future comments can bring Fred back to his former glory. 5/10

Thanks. What former glory?
And everything aside, what happened to your story you were telling in another thread?

Didn't you win TIN? Or something? Sounds glorious to me.
And as to your second point, I can be hella lazy. And I won't have internet at my place until Wednesday, so maybe I'll type something up then (spoiler alert: I won't).

Eh, sometimes I can be lazy too. I had originally planned to write a long reply for that topic, but then gave the lazy, short one. Maybe next time.
Also, you can check some other threads where I talk about why I don't like free jazz (yet).
I definitely like Masseduction and think it's my leader so far this month (I'm also admittedly very far behind in October so far). But I think I need to give it a few more listens before I pour on the praise. I wouldn't rate it higher than St Vincent, Actor, or definitely not in front of Strange Mercy just yet. I might give it the nod over Marry Me, but it's been a minute since I've listened to that record.
As far as Beck goes, that comparison to Phoenix is spot on. The song "Colors" is a real stand out track, though. I'm really digging that one.
King Krule is all over the place, but mostly in a good way.
EDIT:Marry Me is still a bad ass album. I just gave it another listen. Give "Landmines" a listen if you want a taste. Maybe I set my expectations bar too high for Annie.
The new Beck album is good, but it's good in the way Phoenix albums are good, not in the way Beck albums used to be good. It's just not very interesting. This album could easily have been made by someone not named Beck and barely have gotten noticed.
King Khan's new stuff is better than Beck's. I feel I've said this way too much this year, but again, I would not have guessed last year that I'd be very quickly put off and not into the new Kendrick, Arcade Fire, or Beck.
With one song, Bell Witch just overtook Masseducation. This isn’t just the best thing I’ve heard this month, this might be the best thing I’ve heard all year.
