Just got a ticket to the James Blake show at the Palladium, hopefully that will free up a conflict at Beach Goth. Plus I think James Blake would be better indoors, and Vince Staples is the opener.

Assuming they stick to the set times which seems unlikely, my schedule will look something like this:
Saturday: Hinds, Chicano Batman, Ru Paul's Drag Race, Wild Nothing, Albert Hammond Jr, Violent Femmes, TLC, Patti Smith, King Krule, James Blake (or DJ Quik since I'm seeing James Blake tonight), Bon Iver, Chicano Batman aftershow
Sunday: La Femme, Kali Uchis, Gucci Mane, 2 Live Crew, Devendra Banhart, The Pharcyde, The Drums, Future Islands, The Growlers,, Justice
I might try to catch some of Nico Jaar and Rl Grime before Justice too. Overall I'm pretty fucking happy with this. Hopefully it's not uncomfortably crowded
Violent Femmes > TLC > Patti Smith > King Krule > James Blake > Bon Iver
Timer Timbre > xxyyxx > Gucci Mane > Devendra Banhart > UMO > The Drums > Nicolas Jaar > SebastiAn > RL Grime > Justice
I just realized UMO is Unknown Mortal Orchestra, I'll be seeing them for sure. Tell me more about Sebastian... should I go?
he's Like Justice but more dirty. From the same label. And I may be pulling this out of my ass but I think this may be his second us show ever or at least in a long time.
The music was pretty fantastic. 1. Bon Iver - This show was amazing. I was already a huge fan of 22, A Million but the way he arranged it live was pretty mind-blowing. I was in the Bon Iver isn't a headliner at major fests camp going in but this show deserves to be headlining fests. He did a really cool 22, A Million version of Creature Fear that was really great and I would love to see him again with a longer set so he could play different versions of more old songs like that. I immediately wanted to see him again which is a pretty good indication of if a show was good or not. 2. James Blake - He played all the songs I wanted to hear. Really fun and dancey. His voice sounded great and the lights were really cool. Definitely see him if you have the chance. 3. SebastiAn - Didn't really know what this would be like going in but I knew I wanted to be there. It was great. He's like a mixture of Justice and Gessafelstein. The crowd was pretty hype too since everyone was inside hiding from the rain. 4. Patti Smith - Didn't know much about Patti Smith going into this besides that she's a legend so I figured I should check her out. She is awesome. She's like a punk hippy that rocks hard as fuck. Really tight band too. 5. Justice DJ - It was fun. Made me wish it was a live show but oh well. Other good shows I saw: Future Islands, Devendra Banhart, King Krule (would probably be higher if he didn't play such a shitty stage), Gucci Mane
This festival was kinda a shit show. The second biggest stage was a clusterfuck in a tiny corner at the end of like 12 bottlenecks. There were a lot of drunk teenagers, I'm usually not a fan of beer gardens cause you can't leave them with your drink but it was pretty nice to have a space where only half the drunk teens with fakes could get into, and one had a decent view of the main stage. Also it rained really hard on Sunday so that they completely cancelled the second stage (but then reopened it an hour later) so no one had any idea what was happening or who was playing where. None of the workers there even knew who was playing anywhere. I also missed Nicolas Jaar because of the stage thing which fucking sucked but he's coming to Denver soon so I'm not too upset about it.
