James Blake has been teasing his follow-up to 2013’s stunning Overgrown for nearly two years now. The album features 18 tracks, including one whopping 20-minute song. Recently, Blake has been taking advantage of his BBC Radio 1 DJ spots to premiere some new music, like the gorgeous “Modern Soul” and his “The Sound Of Silence” cover, and tonight, he did it again. Listen to “Timeless,” which builds from a minimal thump to a synth-and-sample freakout, below.

Posting mainly to admit that for two years now I've said "Kay-tran-duh" not "Kay-trah-nah-duh." It literally took Pusha T saying the word out loud for me to realize I'm an idiot.

I like Mumford and am generally a fan of Afro rhythms, so I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out.
Jaz - While this isn't Afro themes (more Indian sounding) have you checked out the EP they did with Laura Marling and Dharohar Project? I got it on a record store day one year and it's a neat twist on the Mumford sound.

I have not; I'll check it out though. I think it's cool to see them collaborate with different cultures.

It's only a handful of songs but it's a decent listen. There's a bunch of info and interviews from around the time it was released for why they were doing it. It's pretty good and I also liked hearing Mumford trying out something a bit different.
I'm fucking heavy with this Rubin & Cherise, not even sure I've heard the dead play this.
They only played it four times! All instances coming in 1991. Here's what their version sounded like.
Looks like it was mainly a Jerry Garcia Band tune. There was a point in my life where I was completely obsessed with the album version on Cats Under The Stars.
I'm not some Dead savant btw. Your post made me wonder so I went and checked it out. All info ripped off from here artsites.ucsc.edu/GDead/agdl/reub.html

Good looking out fam. I did research to find it was JGB as well. Definitely have to give JGB more of a chance for sure. I really really dig this song though, I've replayed it at least 10 times today!
