Can someone remind me what came out this month? I don't remember if I liked anything. Or suggest good things that came out this month I may have missed please.

Just go here and look for things with an "Oct" in front of them - October Albums
God, that was a great month. I wish I could say the same for October. There are only a couple I really like and they're obscure. Thanks for the Zigzagger recommendation! You peeps should listen to Acid Arab's new album, it's one of my faves of October, but I'm waiting til the end of the week to vote
I'm tempted to vote right now for Lambchop's FLOTUS for November, too. If the rest of the album is half as good as The Hustle I don't see anything surpassing that for me this coming month.
HM: goat - a more contemplative and moody album than previously. still psychy but not quite so rambunctious steve hauschildt - strands; former emeralds guitarist made some good stuff here. check it out if you like emeralds/mark mcguire, ambient music with a guitar edge. The notwist - superheroes, ghostvillains, and stuff. Live album, so I don't consider it eligible, but it is really good.
This month is so mediocre. I'm pretty sure my 7th place album last month would win this month. Jim James too, if it came out last week. Jagwar Ma and Goat were ok, but didn't jump out at me. KoL was the definition of mediocre. The vocals on Vulfpeck were atrocious. Red Fang was meh.
HM: Tanya Tagaq, Gatecreeper, Julia Jacklin, Lady Gaga, His Golden Messenger, American Football, Takuya Kuroda, D.D. Dumbo, the Orb, Goat, Dillinger Escape Plan.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver
My vote this month is Julia Jacklin's Don't Let the Kids Win.
This month overall was pretty disappointing. I'll come back and give my full top ten later this week when I have a chance to fill it out, but I may not even have ten to pick. Admittedly, I've also been very busy at work, distracted by the election, and distracted by life, so maybe it's not entirely as bad of a month as I'm suggesting. But it was pretty bad.
