You would think the high energy acts would want to be in venues where the crowd can interact. I can't imagine being seated for a Cage the Elephant concert for example. It would completely ruin the dynamic of the show
We saw Alabama Shakes at this seated theater. Just so weird. She literally had to say "y'all can stand up". Went back against our better judgement to see Old Crow Medicine Show. Over 75% stayed seated for Wagon Wheel. Never. Again. It sucks because people come through like Frank Turner for example and I don't even buy tickets.

It's a Live Nation venue. They can suck it.
There's a pretty large venue in houston, Revention. It's got seating around the upper tier and GA standing in the bottom. It's how I like it.
That said, Jack White at Saenger in New Orleans was seated. I enjoyed it, but I'm getting to a point where I like to be able to get up and grab drinks/use the bathroom during a show and still have a spot for me when I get back.
i think we all agree seated shows suck, especially for people like us who attend festivals and are use to the standing. I saw a Beatles tribute last year with cmack and some friends and despite it obviously being a much older crowd the entire venue was seated and i wasnt for it. The band did encourage the crowd to get up a few times which was cool but we were first row in the 2nd level so i couldnt just stand up all show and be a dick to the people behind me.

Well, that's a way to flip spending money into making money.
Would Pretty Lights Live be to big to headline the pre-party? Listening to the new 'flips' he released Wednesday, trying to catch him at Camp Bisco on my way to MMJ/Gary Clark.
New: Boardwalk on the beach. There is a building near the VIP main stage area, so they are reconfiguring that. Added 80 bathrooms. And a new map showing details!!

My recollection is that the original bump was from 35k-45k.
Looks like city built a new building in the middle of it. Probably trying to find a way to incorporate it into VIP area. News today?
ouch if you look at the map on the last page it appears as if the pools are slanted toward the stage now which is nice BUT sand in font of the stage looks cut back.... now its not even letting VIP get past the right side screen if im seeing that correctly... UGH

I hope it's just a rough sketch, but maybe they thought adding space in the back was OK with taking it away at the rail.....
