I saw that this morn too! I'm trying to decide whether or not to do the extended view...I feel like a good number of people will do it, and then I'll be at a disadvantage/likely to miss the best shows. But idk.
I've been waiting till I was done traveling to do my free trial, but what shows have been coming up in DC?
Some really great shit. And sometimes sold out shows! Nicolas Jaar's DJ set last week was on there (but I had bought my ticket a couple months ago) - met a guy there who had used Jukely to get his ticket. You gotta be proactive and look right at 11am each morning though, because the good stuff goes fast.
I also went to Earl Swearshirt this Sunday via Jukely at Fillimore. Snagged an entire day pass to Moonrise Festival a few weeks ago ($99 value), and there are passes up for Trillectro right now. Kamasi Washington (Baltimore show) is up there today. Saw Guster last month.
In summation: go for it. Try your free week! And lemme know what you end up using it for; I might be at that show(s) too

do they have like a list of the venues that they have tix for?
Nope but I've seen most of the venues on there at some point. All the smaller ones, including Black Cat and U Hall, plus bigger venues like Fillimore and Echostage and Baltimore Soundstage. Not sure if I've seen 930 on there actually but I think so.
Just depends on the show more than the venue I think (not entirely sure how it is run though, if they have partnerships with certain venues and not others).

Unless they've changed it (haven't looked), you could only see the "Unlimited" shows (read: free with your sub) once you signed up.
However, looking at Philly, I see the upcoming for Unlimited:
Koffin Kats @ Kung Fu Necktie And The Kids @ MilkBoy Philly MergeArts @ Coda Philadelphia All Cows Eat Grass Dance Party @ Underground Arts Meg Baird @ Johnny Brendas 16 Bit Lolitas @ Rumor The Mignight Ghost Train @ Kung Fu Necktie Royal Headache @ PhilaMOCA Life in Film @ MilkBoy Philly ETC!ETC! @ SoundGarden Hall Pional @ Dolphin Tavern Whitney Peyton @ Voltage Lounge Earth @ Underground Arts Wax Motif @ Coda Philadelphia Nicki Bluhm and the Gramblers @ Downstairs Michael Stasis @ MilkBoy Philly Screaming Females @ Union Transfer Dave P. & Sammy Slice @ Dolphin Tavern

Do it. In Austin, I seem to be noticing a greater number of shows then they had when I first signed up. Probably a result of promoters/fans coming around to it? They even have tickets to some large shows here, that I wouldn't have expected. I saw they had Kelly Clarkson today. Not my cup of tea, but they're definitely branching out.
They have tons of small shows, and would be a great way to get introduced to a much of artists.

I wouldn't be too surprised to see it there soon. Seems like they keep adding cities slowly. Might just email them and ask if it's in the works. Who knows what they might say.

What section is the Trillectro ticket and can you snag one (or two, idk how Jukely works) for me possibly? Kinda last minute but I just got the evening off of work so now I'm looking into it. You know how I feel about my Chance.

Can't really use it like that. You have to check in with your phone on the app when you're at the venue to ensure you used the ticket. That way people aren't claiming passes and not using them. I guess you could technically borrow someone's username/password to check in on your phone, but don't know if they have ways to prevent that or not. Would be curious to know, actually.
Edit: But you could sign up for a free week trial and go! Just checked, and they are still available.

Ya Jaz, I texted you saying basically all this, that you can't hand off tickets like that. BUT that you should definitely do the free trial

Thanks Rothric and Rummy 500, I just snagged my ticket! And I was looking through Jukely's roster of shows...I think I'll be seeing a lot more shows now.

Very nice. Ya, if you live semi-close to venues where transportation isn't an issue, this will open up SO many more shows to you. Great way to check out new stuff that you wouldn't have gone to if you had to pay a ticket price.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'm only a half hour out of Philly, an hour and a half from Baltimore and two hours from NYC if something really juicy is playing. I probably won't go to TOO too many shows right now, but if I end up moving to Philly I could easily see it being a weekly thing.

My problem with Jukely is that most the shows I want to see, I already have tickets for. So I'll see a show on the site that I have moderate interest in attending, reserve a ticket, and then two days later I lose the motivation to go to a show by myself to see an act I am only slightly interested in. It has happened at least 5-6 times.
Yeah, that happened with me and Nico Jaar - had a ticket already and was bummed that I could've gotten it for free via Jukely. BUT, the upside of that situation is that it is easier to convince a friend to come with you: give the friend your real ticket (if you're strapped for money, maybe just ask them for half the price of the ticket or something), and you use the Jukely one yourself.

Ya, I'm still buying tickets to a decent amount of shows at the moment. Mainly ones that I want to go to regardless. Don't want to wait and hope for a Jukely ticket, and then they don't do that show, or I can't get one.
Jukely is definitely better for spur of the minute, let's go see a show sort of thing rather then for a show I've been psyched for months about. You just have to resist the last minute, "Eh, I don't feel like going now" last minute thing that you speak of. I've succumbed to it too often.
What kind of seats do you get for these shows? They have one for Belle & Sebastian tonight in Austin... regular GA tickets are $40, so even if I sign up for the monthly subscription right now for $25 I'm already saving...

God, this could be suuuuuper enabling for me...
I've only ever used Jukely for GA events, never anything with a seat. I tried claiming a ticket to see if it told me, it just said I'd be emailed my pass this afternoon. So not really sure. They might just give you a GA ticket since the Moody has a GA floor, but who knows.
But yes, this would be very enabling...but probably worth it too

I didn't get an option for a week long trial.. just the sign up info and then a free peek at what is available and then when i got my belle and sebastian tickets it charged me...
this is bad news bears. seriously, its like giving discount crack to a crack addict.

Hmmm, there definitely used to be a week long trial. Thought Jaz used it the other day to get his Chance tickets? Maybe they offer it city by city depending on where they need more subscribers?
i got the app and made an account but when i go to the unlimited section it closes the app on me every single time even thoughi i have verified my info already. Before that happens it also says "Join waitlist" then knocks me off when i click that. Anyone use it in Philly know about this wait list?

And yes, they are pushers!
There's a 14-day trial to preview the bands, but then once you want to claim tickets that starts your paid subscription.

Ah, they definitely changed it then. Used to be a free 7 day trial, but you could actually see a band during that 7 days for free.
Dammit... Jukely didn't include the King Gizzard show Friday. I was justifying all these shows because they're "free". Now this isn't "free" and I'm trying to decide if i should still go or not.... It's only $14 after fees. UGH! WHAT DO I DOOOOOOO?
