i know this is after the fact, what was the big deal with the cicada invasion? i did not see one. i know they are out i saw a butt-load in DC the week before.
I did see way way way too many spiders for my taste -- and a few mosquitos.
Damm straight shakti!
The little bastards were EVERYWHERE on our tent. Luckily, 99% of them kept to themselves on the outside. I didn't mind the thousands of little grasshoppers quite so much...kinda cute actually!
Luckily, we didn't have too many problems with mosquitos.
I know -- it would have been completely wonderful.
now I just have to wait and wait for waits...
I would cut off a toe to see Waits live...errr...at least peel off a nail or something awful...maybe not chop a toe though.
Ohhh my gawwwwdd...can you imagine a late night set from him?! My heart is fluttering at the thought of hearing "Tango Til They're Sore," floating over a shoulder to shoulder crowd at 2:00 am on a thick & muggy night.

I heard of a guy who found a live, eatin' size, crawfish IN his tent after the rains subsided...
I didn't hear this one but on a similar note.... one of my friends was sleeping under the tarps on a blanket and woke up to a shrew cuddled up with her!!!!
We also had the mother of all horse flies come into our screened in canopy. I've never seen one so big. That one scared me a little, I must say!
