Holy shit I couldn't breathe during the Memphis Kansas Breeze part of Comedy Bang Bang. It's so fucking dumb and simple to just "christmas-fy" those songs but still kills me. The "Folgers....with Peter" closing with EVERYONE losing it just made me lose it.

"folgers......with peter" might be the hardest I laughed listening to Comedy Bang Bang in a while. It's always good but holy shit that "beep, honk. ding. dong. Hazel. Nut...." part just destroyed me.

They finally found me out. My Stitcher Premium subscription had been working for a long time but I wasn't being charged anymore....maybe after one of the transitions from either Earwolf to Howl or then Howl to Stitcher? Either way, I couldn't find any billing in my bank accounts or anything and it still worked so I just didn't say anything. A few days ago it started to alert me that I need to sign up for a premium subscription to listen/download certain things now. Oh well. Time to sign up.
this entire episode was a real christmas treat, starting with the opening of the earwolf hats.
The pure joy and fun they have is infectious. Loved how they realized after the first one that they can't do 26 more songs that length and just started breezing through them.

a really long time ago when I first started listening to Maron I subscribed to WTF Pod through libsyn to get access to the older episodes. I think it was $7.99/year. I might have paid for one year, maybe two, when WTF Pod moved to Howl, then Howl moved to Stitcher. I just checked and I still have Stitcher Premium, and I haven't been charged anything for years, I don't think. Maybe they'll get me eventually.
the sad thing is i pretty much never take advantage of stitcher premium anyway.

I definitely take advantage of the archives that are behind paywalls (mostly for CBB and Hollywood Handbook old eps) and love a few premium-only shows. But don't take advantage as much as I could be. There's a lot of shows I want to listen to and think I'd enjoy but then I just put on another earwolf one and keep going.

Catching up on Conan today and was overjoyed to hear that Fart Doctor actually came from Al Franken. Hearing him and Conan share their favorite sketches that never made it to air was wonderful.

i too was delighted to hear the fart doctor story. love the idea of franken submitting such a stupid idea for a sketch repeatedly, and it ends up taking on a new life in a different show.
a nice surprise crossover i never expected, reply all this week discussed nick ciarelli and brad evans' (memphis kansas breeze and martin sheffield lickley song writers) michael bloomberg dance video.
