They also rock harder live than any band on the planet right now. That Levitation set was balls to the fucking wall rock n roll. That's the only time I've seen them so far though. If every show is even comparable to that, then it's not much of a contest.
I dunno if what they do is considered rocking hard, but Lightning Bolt stands as the most insane show I've ever seen. But I guess Fuzz live is much easier and clearer to the ears. I'm 100% team Ty.
Watching the drummer from Lightning Bolt was something else. He moves faster than any human has a right to. Absolutely insane.

Good call on the Lightning Bolt.
Yeah, I've only seen Ty at Bonnaroo, so I reserve the right to keep The Oh Sees higher on my list of of best shows ever, but I anticipate Fuzz topping them if I get s chance to see them in a club sometime soon. Lightning Bolt probably won't be bested.
My whole point of this conversation is that FUZZ just put an album that is worthy enough to be considered among the hardest rocking of our generation. That's pretty special, folks. \m/
Joanna Newsom's Divers is outstanding. It's really one of the best albums she's released... if not the best. It's also streaming for free for the next 48 hours:
Neon Indian, Deerhunter, Joanna Newsom - my shortlist so far
any shortlist without Fuzz will revoke voting privledges for the remainder of the year.
Fuck off with your Segall fanboy, Canadian new liberal government, your capital's hockey team getting destroyed by my capital's hockey team (see what I did there?) last night, ass.

The Sens? They're from the Capitol, yes, but nobody cares about them. How my Habs doing so far? I haven't been following too closely....
That new Liberal government is gonna put pot in convenience stores, legalize brothels, bring climate change out of the dark in North America, and Ty Segall is the fucking man! Better turn that hearing aide off, that blasted racket will not be turned down any time soon.
First Bruins game I see this year, and they blow a two goal lead in the last 10 minutes before losing in OT. So yeah, the Caps and Habs are doing better than this shit.
And Fuzz is likely top 10 for me this year, maybe top 5.

Listened to Fuzz on the recommendations in this thread, and it absolutely rocks. Always feel like I don't listen to enough new stuff to vote in here, but this is the best album of the month for my money so far.

Deerhunter - meh Protomartyr - post-punk just isn't for me. I never loved Joy Division anyway. Deafheaven - I'm sure its great. But the vocals on Sunbather didn't work for me and that's probably not gonna change. FUZZ - Holy shit. 30 minutes in and it kicks ass.
Still need to listen to Joanna Newsom, but Fuzz is legit. First time I've actually kept up with new stuff in months. Edit: Oh yeah, Neon Indian is really good too. First album of his I've been impressed by.
I'm gonna join this Fuzz jerking because goddamn that album is good. I thought their first one was pretty damn good, but this thing rips. Also I grabbed the new All Them Witches this morning. I hoping it's a contender. If not, it's still more All Them Witches, so I don't really care if Fuzz still wins.
If anyone wants either of these shoot me a pm as per usual.

This is my favorite month for albums in a while. Neon Indian, Deerhunter, Majical Cloudz, Fuzz, Joanna Newsom, and I'm probably forgetting an album or two. Edit: deafheaven of course
