how what works? The radius clause? yes..I am aware of how it works.. I am trying to figure out everyone's issue with it in regards to me saying "that would cancel them out, then"....
because it wouldn't you dumb shit. Just stop while you're behind.
Look first off, no need to go name calling...second off, its can apply to all bands with some minor exceptions (and I am sure there are sometimes exceptions), March is within the 60 day mark and Nashville within the 300 mile radius...and third, being that I am new to the boards you and everyone else on here can hold your harsh judgement and politely direct me to a thread that shows why everyone on here is so crabby about the thought the "Radius Clause" being brought up, instead of jumping down my throat and judging me...... lastly here is an article explaining the "evil" radius clause... www.tennessean.com/story/money/industries/music/2014/06/15/radius-clause-controls-bonnaroo-artists-play/10559099/
“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” - Hunter Thompson

from the article you posted:
Nearly every large artist contract, whether it's at Bonnaroo or Bridgestone, likely includes some form of a radius clause in its contract agreements.
Key word there: large. A radius clause won't apply to bands lower on the bill. That's all we're saying.

I have seen artist on Bonnaroo lineup the day before Bonnaroo in Asheville which is 264 miles from Manchester according to google the past two years. Foals (2013) and Polica (2014). Also saw Jim James in May 2013 as well as some others I don't feel like looking up. Not trying to be a jerk.

Snoop it is!!! Also if you want to know more about the "radius clause" I'd sift through this and last year's headliner threads. It's only a few hundred pages.
Also next time you get upset about being called a dumb shit, please remember that you are on the internet and that you clearly had (and still don't) have any idea what you were (and are) talking about when it comes to this topic.

60 days and 300 miles. Now we know. I always thought is was in kilometers.
that's only for international artists.
Yes, but only because they have to get passports and go through customs. That can make or break whether Roo gets a band. Getting three people through customs is a challenge in itself.
