Mother Maybelle Carter's 1928 Gibson L-5. This is the guitar that she used in the Bristol recording. Pretty much all Country, Bluegrass, and Americana music derived from these recordings. She also is known for popularizing a guitar as a lead instrument instead of just for rhythm.
