Hey guys, so I'm attending roo this year for my first time and beyond excited! But my cousin is playing there and he hooked me up with a ticket there. I talked to him a couple days ago and he said he has to talk to his manger still about me receiving my pass. He said I might have to go to roo and pick up my ticket at an artist merch stand.. I just want to see if anyone has prior experience picking up a ticket while you walk in roo. Because I'm driving 16 hours and don't want to mess anything up! Lol feedback will be appreciated
I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure there is an "offsite" location for artist credentials.
If it's the same as a few years ago. It's at the Holiday Inn. You would have(from what I remember) a guest pass, and a "which" pass. Possibly. Might just be a guest pass.
Either way, it's super dope. The only difference is the pig roast.

One more question though, do you need your roo pass in Order to get yourself in your designated camping area? I bought my camping pass and what not already
If you buy a regular ticket, you can still camp in the usual area. We got VIP tickets and ended up getting Artist passes literally days before the festival, so we camped with our group in VIP but still had full access to Artist camping area with our artist bands. You go to the Holiday Inn Hotel to get all upper-class wristbands, including artist, guest, and RLARS. Its very close, we walked from the VIP area and it took about half an hour to find it. After that, there are buses to take you back.
You really can't screw up with those passes. Very few areas are off limits, just walk in with confidence and people usually just let you through.

I did it 2011/2012 so I'm assuming nothing much has changed.

Might have an artist pass this year as well. I was told that your pass gets you into the gates, but only into backstage areas the day of the bands performance. Anyone know?

Yeah dude, I was reading about it online. Artist pass chills in the artist lounge, free beer and food, access to certain areas close to some stages. and some other sweet percs apparently
I volunteered at the Artist bar and catering in 2012, and it was so fun! It's obviously open bar and it's all top shelf liquor. My "supervisor" told me that I could drink as much as I could carry away from the bar...and I did. I saw a lot of the artists and some TV people in there. The comedy interview stage is in there too, so you get to see those before they're posted online. My friend, who didn't have a ticket, called me while I was "working" and said that she got in with some passes that she got from her stepdad. I was like, "well, we'll have to meet up after my shift because you can't get into this bar...it's only for artist passes". About a half hour later I get a tap on my shoulder and it's my two best friends. So awesome. On Saturday I was bussing tables in catering and this big group of people got up and left. I was picking up their plates and one of them took their artist wristband off and left it. I put in my pocket, finished my shift and was able to go anywhere I wanted for the rest of Roo. If you get an artist pass, you are a lucky duck! The only people that have more access are the RLARS folks

There's a pig roast?! Fiddlesticks. The one day I got to enjoy the perks of Artistland (I think that's what it was called), I had a hot dog from the buffet.
