I want to want to do this. But I know I will end up sea sick and throwing up.
there are pills for that
And patches and bracelets.
So I was looking and Carnival has a bunch of 4 day bahama cruises out of Charleston SC that start at $249 a person. Interestingly they've also got some music cruises although nothing that really floats my boat.

Okay so here's the thing. My family owns a mansion by the sea. It's just outside of Wilmington, NC. It sleeps about 28 in beds, more in you include air mattresses and tripling up on the king beds. I can easily get this place for like $1,000 per week. Is that a possible solution?

So, we're booked up through the normal summer season. But come September the dates open up and we could get a week down there easy. In fact, late September is my favorite time to be at the beach because the water is still warm and it's not too hot outside. What does everyone think of a late September trip to coastal NC?

That would be a great option as well! Do you have a website or pics for the house to share with us?

Where I come from, a "booze cruise" consists of a bunch of inebriated hooligans, a cooler full of really shitty beer, a 4x4 truck, and unlit backcountry roads.
Not as large as the above mansion, but I have access to a lakehouse in the North Georgia mountains that doesn't cost a thing as long as no one elae in the family is using it. It sleeps around 15 in beds and with air mattresses that amount vould easily be doubled or more. It's on the market but has been for awhile. All it would take would be for me to reserve a long weekend or week with the rest of the family (my in-laws). Plenty of wonderful hiking trails and waterfalls within striking distance and the lake is great for swimming or boating.

Every March my friends and I rent a lake house for a weekend. It's one of my favorite things to do all year.
Depending on how all the details work out (what, when, $, etc.), I am always down for shenanigans with a group of you folk! I've never been interested in doing a cruise, but again, if a bunch of you were there... I'd seriously consider it. I'd be down for Erik's beach palace, Kim's lake house, or any other idea! There are countless great destinations for something like this.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.

I voted for the last one. Mostly just bitter that 100% of all inforoo get togethers are too far away to be possible for me!
Hrmph.
I also voted for the last one because we are spending a HUGE amount on a new garage, and then we start saving for another trip to visit my family in Wales. I would love to go but I can't afford the time off or the cost
How can one decide? My only concern about the houses is that we will be stuck in close vicinity...like really close. Hahahha. As long as we do this during school breaks i am in for any/all
I think you did a great job with the survey, but just pointing out that my lakehouse would be free. I'm not sure that comes across in the choice as worded "lake/vacation rental"
Since yall are into mixing booze with aquatic environments, this seems like the perfect place for a shameless plug about my pool party I am throwing with Krissy and Token this year July 18-20th, 3 inforoo birthdays, Dr. Seuss theme . . . . just sayin
On a more related note to this thread, I would say definitely do a multi-day/long weekend. A day or two is nice, but will likely attract only local inforoosters of that area. Plan something that is several days and you will prolly have a much better turnout from out of towners that would want to join, but have to fly in. I am partial to the lake house, wooded area, hiking trails, but anyway this turns out, I think it is a great idea

1. Since I'm only going to Forecastle Friday I may stop by on my way home to AL, if that's okay! 2. I definitely agree that a multi-day thing is better and more inclusive.
