I've seen a few people pick us. We seem to the the dark horse pick.
I think the few are picking us to make playoffs, not win NC. Right?
A couple picked us to win it or at least to play for it. One had us playing against Auburn. I don't see us beating FSU, but I guess crazier things have happened?
Right now, he is ranked as the #32 player in the Class of 2015. He was also named the Defensive MVP of The Opening earlier today. Lastly, he said he has zero plans to take any visits with any other teams and is going to work on recruiting for Tennessee (He has apparently became good friends with Torrance Gibson aka the #18 player in the Class of 2015). You have to love this quote. “That’s part of the reason I wanted to commit early. I've got a lot of guys on the fence about some schools and stuff like that — some West Coast guys and some East Coast and some Southern guys,” he said. “I’m going to try and get them all (at Tennessee), and if they don’t follow, they’re going to get hit. Those are their two options, and I hope they choose the latter.”

Immediately after the announcement, he slaughtered an Alabama o-line commit. That's the first time UT has beaten Alabama at anything that has to do with football in some time. I'll take it, for now.
Darn. I guess we'll have to take a different five star now.
Well, your QB of the future did win Offensive MVP, so there is that. If you haven't seen it, the videos of him and one of your WR recruits will be enough to make you weep tears of joy.
For at least the next two months I believe that IU Hoosiers football will win the big ten and go to the Rose Bowl. Of course, my beliefs have been crushed by October at the latest every year since 1967....
Don't worry. You still have the trippiest helmets in college football.

Btw, I totally got a dose of Casual Racism: College Football Edition when discussing Torrance Gibson with a co-worker. It's amazing how white player with potential discipline issues = a kid who just needs the right coach while black player with potential discipline issues = a cancer who will end up getting kicked off the team.

My comment was completely sarcastic. When we lose one five star recruit, I'm sure Saban won't have to work too hard to get in someone else.

Oh, I am quite aware. I meant my comment more in a "shut up. You're a Bama fan. For every 5 star you lose, there is already 4 you have signed" way.
Also, I saw this morning that Nick Marshall supposedly got cited for marijuana possession so lulz.

Oregon has some trippy ones too.

They're not going to win it, but if there is any time it would be now. Missouri won it last year.
He said compete for it. Yes, one could argue that this would be the year for any team to compete for it in the East, but to compete, you need a sufficient amount of talent and they just don't have it. Franklin kiffin'd the fuck out of that school.
In other news, anyone want to do a season long football pick 'em?
Spurrier: "I always thought Davy Crockett & those 43 Tennessee guys who were killed was hero of the Alamo"
I am pretty sure that is the closest we will ever get to him saying something nice about Tennessee.
He also confirmed what I was saying before, their fans would rather beat Clemson than win the SEC. Also, he brought up Clemson at SEC media day, which goes against what he says about not talking about Clemson. They're beating us and we're still in their heads. Ain't that some shit.

Once again, let SC fans get their head around the idea that they actually have a chance to win the SEC, and Clemson will quickly become second place. They have been so historically bad that it's not really in their thought process yet.
Where has Spurrier said that he doesn't want to talk about Clemson?

He's said it a lot. Supposedly when he got there they had signs and stuff up about beating Clemson and he had it all taken down. Also supposedly and their fans swear by it, he won't even say the name of the school. It's all bullshit. He has something to say about Clemson any time he opens his mouth.
