These are the new tailgating rules at ASU. This shit would never fly where I come from (emphasis is mine)
"Aligning itself with Northern Arizona and the University of Arizona, Arizona State University will no longer permit the use of kegs in designated tailgate parking lots surrounding Sun Devil Stadium. For safety concerns, ASU and Sun Devil Athletics also will not permit the use of apparatuses or engaging in activities that encourage reckless consumption of alcoholic beverages, including but not limited to the use of beer bongs and participating in drinking games. ASU and law enforcement agencies around the Valley, including the City of Tempe Police Department will enforce the amended tailgate restrictions and requirements. Parking lots near Sun Devil Stadium, (Lot 1, Lot 3, Lot 4, Lot 6, Packard Drive Structure, Stadium Structure, Gold Lot, Fulton Lot, Disabled Lot, North Reserved, South Reserved, Tennis Reserved, RV Alpha Drive, RV University Center and Lot 8) open 5 hours prior to kickoff; all other ASU lots and structures open 3.5 hours prior to kickoff. Additionally, no flames or charcoal grills, generators must be confined, tailgates must be cleared within one hour following the game, alcohol will be limited to beer and wine ONLY."

Ugh, I've been dreading doing this, but it's August 1 and the season is almost here. So here goes.
08/30 L Estuary Jones (I feel stupid putting a W; I'm going with home field advantage & hoping I'm wrong.) 09/06 W SC State 09/20 L Florida State (Very little doubt on this one. I hate Jameis Winston.) 09/27 W North Carolina 10/04 W NC State 10/11 W Louisville 10/18 W Boston College 10/25 W Syracuse (Inforoo Tailgate!) 11/06 W @wake Forest 11/15 W Estuary Jones Tech 11/22 W Georgia St 11/29 W South Carolina (We'd better the fuck win this game. And that's all I have to say about that.)
10-2 - I'd be happy with that. I don't see us losing to an inferior team. Our defense is going to be something special, and I trust Chad Morris calling plays.
So, all that is left to say is 1-2-3-4, 1-2-3-4, C-L-E-M-S-O-N T-I-G-E-R-S, FIGHT TIGERS, FIGHT TIGERS, FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!

Oh my God. I spit out my drink at the keg thing then it only got worse from there.

Anybody here besides me give a shit about some MACTION?? Think it's a down year for the conference, but go NIU!!! (bark, bark)
I wanted to say that I am so happy that this post is top of the page.
I came to post this quote. "“Everything is based on merit,” a frustrated Jones said Monday, after what he deemed an uninspired Sunday practice. “Today, I will be the one speaking to the media. Our players are going to earn the right to talk to the media. It’s an honor and a privilege to represent this great football program in the way we practice. Right now, we have to stop using youth as a crutch, or as an excuse. It is what it is. It’s where we’re at in the program. Nobody cares. Our opponents don’t care.”"
At one point, I am nervous about practice not going well . At another, I am glad we have a coach who is willing to lay down the law.
I'm very much looking forward to Louisville's debut in the ACC this season. Our football team has needed a stronger conference for years, and I think the ACC will be a perfect fit. I'm also very interested to see how this second stint with Petrino goes. Here's my predictions for the season:
9/1 vs. Miami W 1-0 9/6 vs. Murray State W 2-0 9/13 @ Virginia W 3-0 9/20 @ FIU W 4-0 9/27 vs. Wake Forest W 5-0 10/3 @ Syracuse W 6-0 10/11 @ Clemson L 6-1 10/18 vs. NC State L 6-2 10/30 vs. Florida State L 6-3 11/8 @ Boston College W 7-3 11/22 @ Notre Dame L 7-4 11/29 vs. Kentucky W 8-4

I guess I'm just trying to be realistic and I feel like we always slip up and lose to one team (or a few) we shouldn't unfortunately. I didn't choose NC State for any reason in particular really, it could be Syracuse instead.

I like Coach Jones. He's the right guy to turn Tennessee around. I can totally see Tennessee winning the East next year or 2015.

The NCAA violated antitrust laws when it said college athletes couldn't be compensated for the use of their names and likenesses, a federal judge ruled Friday.
U.S. District Court Judge Claudia Wilken sided with a group of current and former college football and basketball players who say they're being used to help sell video games, TV broadcasts, and other content without being paid. Led by former UCLA basketball player Ed O'Bannon, the group filed a lawsuit in 2009.
I have purchased jugs marked xxx, but it was in wal-green's parking lot in front of my house. then we took it down to the holler to drank it by firelight.
Also, I went to Tennessee's open practice on Saturday with the boys. It pulled a crowd of about 40k which was really surprising to me. Overall, I was pleased with what I saw even if it didn't change my view on how the season is going to go. The offensive and defensive lines are causes for concern, but I didn't need to see a practice to know that. Worley showed better escapability than I thought he had which is going to come in handy with the inexperienced line. It helps that all the WRs were catching anything thrown in their general vicinity.
I'm surprised Louisville isn't in there. Coming off a bowl win (where the handled Miami) and 15th place AP finish I figured they'd at least have a spot in the top 25. Meh, whatever.
