Members: David Macklovitch (Dave 1) - lead vocals and guitar Patrick Gemayel (P-Thugg) - leys, synths, and pure funk
Biography: The year is 1994 in "Canada's Cultural Capital", the city of Montreal, where two 15 year old music fans meet and share their new found love of funk music. Through this funk love they start jamming together and writing songs. It is also around this same time that Dave-1's younger brother, Alain won his first DMC DJ Championship. Alain is better know by his stage name of A-Trak. As the years go by Dave and P continue fine tuning their sound that will soon become what we know as Chromeo.
Chromeo was officially born in 2001 a year before Dave-1 entered into the graduate program at Columbia. After earning his PhD in French literature he was hired as a professor at Bernard College teaching intermediate French. P-Thugg is no stranger to higher learning as he has an accounting degree from Montreal's main business school. He also handles all the bands finances.
Dave 1 and P-Thugg released their debut album, She's in Control, in 2004. It received favorable reviews but didn't garner much attention until the track "Needy Girl" became a staple for DJ's worldwide. After a small school break we pass three years to their second release. Fancy Footwork is released in 2007 to much praise thus allowing it to peak at #11 on the Billboard Dance charts. This album gave us the popular hits of, "Fancy Footwork", "Tenderoni", and "Bonafide Lovin". A third full length, Business Casual, was released in 2010 and peaked at #4 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums chart. May 12th, 2014 marks the release date of their 4th full length titled, White Women.

What to expect:
Come for a funktastic time full of uninhibited fun and dancing. Great show to let it all hang out and just have fun.
I love Chromeo. I saw them at a really small fest a few years ago, and it was the most fun dance party I think I've ever partaken in. I really hope I get to see their show! Wonder if they'll get a late night show? Hopefully they do. It'll just add to the atmosphere!

Discovered Mommas Boy a whileeeee back and ended up catching them at virgin free fest, skipped most of Ludacris cause they put on such a good show plus they played while the sun set into night. One of my most memorable shows, and from what I saw of Luda I'm glad I did.

I missed the chance to see them twice in the past, but I finally saw them at Moogfest '11. It was cold and pouring down rain, but was one of the best shows i saw all weekend. I am so excited to see them this year and hope there are no major conflicts. Love Chromeo and a Chromeo dance party is so much fun.
The more I listen to chromeo, the more I love them. I just added them to my running playlist bc they have such funky beats. I knew they were good, but damn... i REALLY love them, now.

All the synth solo's and the sax solo on the last song fall back 2u is sick!!! EVERYONE LISTEN TO THIS NEW CHROMEO ALBUM!!! and if you listen to vinyl I really suggest getting this on vinyl.

Just a thought, how cool would it be if Toro Y Moi shows up to sing Come Alive? AND what if Toro was the secret special guest DJ in the Barn for the Robe Rage Saturday night?
