I think we also need to pay attention to song dynamics - for people who are just tagging along, abrupt changes in tempo or key may be difficult to jam along to. Something with a few chords that remain constant is much easier to play along with for those without a thorough knowledge of scales and stuff like that. I think we should also keep in mind that unless we have a megaphone or amp+mic, no lyrics are really going to be heard unless everyone is singing along.

I was thinking about this while looking through the Google docs list. We'll need to flesh out the simpler songs and then if there's something we really, really want to do that's a bit tougher maybe strip it down to just a chorus and throwing it into a medley of other similar songs that are tough.

I'm soo pumped for this! Just so it is known my sax is an alto. Really wish I had a bari though. Those things are so much fun! I might check into renting a tenor sax, it would probably gel a lot better than my alto. Anyways I really like the way the song selection is going! And obviously the stuff we play doesn't have to be note for note, the important thing is that we have some fun with it and get everyone around us in that awesome bonnaroo spirit!! Prince is a must! Also, a bonnaroo song would be the bees knees! Hey hey hey bonnaroo!!

Random fact: If anyone knows some tenacious d, I can do a pretty good drunken jack black impersonation. This was discovered last memorial day around a campfire when some randomly started playing f*uck her gently. I was really hammered that night lol good times good times

Long time lurker here. I might be down to bring my old electric along, I don't have any acoustics but I have a really small battery powered amp I might be able to put on my strap, I don't have it with me to test though, I'll see when I get back home for the summer. I mostly (try to) play umphrey's type stuff (jake cinninger is my main inspiration) but I'm down with whatever. Anyway, this sounds really cool, it's always fun to play with new people.
