I am going to be 18 on march 26 and really do not want to miss this bonnaroo as elton john is going to be playing and many other great artists and bands.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
That depends entirely upon your height and your Lumosity scores. Plus there's the fact that if you don't own a Walkman you'd probably just get confused of your surroundings and poop your pants.
Can we just delete all of these "how old for Bonnaroo" threads and create one definitive guide? If you're 18+ you are old enough. Otherwise go with an adult. The end. Seriously.
You could be 12 and there will be people at Roo that are worse off than you. As long as you prepare and you just use common sense, you should be fine. You're actual age doesn't really matter. The fact that you are on the Inforoo site and you are even asking means you have some smarts about making appropriate decisions. You're already a step ahead of some of us

I went to my first Bonnaroo in 2010 the week after my high school graduation. I was only 17 at the time and drove up from Florida with two friends who were the same age. Just don't get into any trouble, pass along the spirit of Roo, and get to know your neighbors. You'll have a great time.
I really wish this were true. All festivals should enact a 21+ age limit, it would be for the best.
I'd be okay with 18+, even though I went to my first big fest unsupervised at 17. 21 is pretty heavy-handed. At 18 a kid should be mature enough to know what they can handle/what is socially acceptable at an event like a big festival. If they don't know then, it's not going to be any better a few years later, they'll just be the same idiots with easier access to booze.

Me and my friends were all 16-18 years old our first Roo ('06). We drove all the way from Jersey and had the greatest time of our lives. I understand the concern but as long as someone in the group is at least 18, I don't see the problem.

^ My concern with under-18 is that they're legally minors. Too easy for Johnny Law to create a bad situation if they're going 5-over ("where are your parents?"). The drinking / ducks / whatever aspect... nothing we can do about what people will decide to do. It's up to people to make those decisions for themselves, and up to the older generation to be honest with them about how to be safe and protect their health.

Us volunteers take care of each other, plus you'll be camping in volunteer camp ground and you'll have an extra few days to acquaint yourself with the farm which'll make it easier.
