"The problem with GnR is that they suck. The songs suck. Even when they were in their prime they sucked. Remnants of an era of misogynistic sunset strip garbage. Bros who dressed like girls but still acted like high school jocks.
I've noticed that one of the favorite activities of some of the board members on here (myself included) is to rank stuff. Particularly albums, and songs on albums. I figured one thread to come in whenever you get the itch and do some hardcore list-making would be a fabulous idea.
Discussion and bashing is to be tolerated. Encouraged, even. If a general consensus is reached that this thread licks donkey nads, fuck you, but feel free to delete, or modify as you see fit.
I'll kick it off

(Note: I consider the Medley to start right after "Here Comes The Sun" and on the last note of "The End". "Her Majesty" does not count, but even if it did, it would be indisputably last.)
I personally think that 'Her Majesty' is done perfectly. The last little bit you hear from them, on what is probably their most popular album. It is just a goofy 'song' but i think that goofiness really just sums up that band in it's entirety. From what I have always heard Abbey Road was mostly recorded after Let It Be. So When I listen to the album I like to think it is the last bit of wisdom they imparted on us all. To have the whole medley leading up to Paul giving us one of the best lyrcis ever, or maybe it is advice. Hearing that bit of wisdom really let's you know that the Beatles are legit, they know shit. And then it ends with 'Her Majesty'.
I believe it is perfect.
P.S. I agree with your statement that 'Her Majesty' does not count as a part of the medley
You really think Is This It is better than Hard To Explain and Someday?
Idk man, that album is definitely one of my top 5 of all time, every song on that thing is amazing. Maybe not someday, but I think ya better then Hard To Explain
It's a top five all time for me too, I listen to it a few times a week and can still never get enough of it. I love the Title track, but I just think it's too short to be considered better than the big boys. I also wouldn't give any song on this album below an 8/10
