Okkervil River. Along with Bon Iver probably the most talented alt-folk band. Similar to Rural Alberta Advantage, Fleet Foxes. Super earnest and amazing folk rock. The Stage Names is one of my all time favorite albums. Phosphorescent. For fans of earnest male singer/songwriter type music. This kid is like a young Leonard Cohen. Three or four really good albums. Pride and Muchacho are probably the best. Shovels & Rope. Mentioned up-thread. Husband and wife bluegrass duo. They are super fun live. I think they only have one record, but its good. First Aid Kit. Etherial Swedish female folk duo. Emmylou is the best song you've never heard. Seriously, go listen to it on YouTube right now. I'll wait. Warpaint. Etherial all girl group from LA. Very 4AD sounding (for the olds, you know what I mean). Kind of Cocteau Twinsy. Little Dragon. Again with the Sweden. Sort of "textural" whispery rock with a lot of unusual instruments. Kind of like Lykki Li or Tuneyards.

So I was familiar with the majority of the lineup but had never heard of Typhoon. They have some good stuff actually. Acoustic acts rarely impress me these days but they have some really great songwriting going on there.
Cherub is always great fun! (I would also be surprised if you do not see some sort of Big Gigantic surprise appearance with them - they are good friends/have been collaborating a lot lately/I took Big G's tweet to Bonnaroo to hint at something like this)
Ive been checking this guy out and he's awesome. My kinda music for sure. Gimme some bourbon to sip on and just listen to this guy play the blues, I'm in. I'd love a small location, like the Sonic stage, that would be fucking great.
