Since I got this externship position I wanted to let you all know that I will more than likely NOT be a brunch, therefore the table I was going to bring will also not be arriving with me. I'm very sorry, I was looking forward to meeting all of you. maybe if I have some free time I can still meet up with the group at a show or something.
What you got back home, little sister, to play your fuzzy warbles on? I bet you got little save pitiful, portable picnic players. Come with uncle and hear all proper! Hear angel trumpets and devil trombones. You are invited.
So how much stuff does one need to bring? Enough to feed 15-20 or what? I'm looking forward to this and will officially RSVP when I figure out what to bring.
That's a good number to go with so you don't have a ton to pack. I have no idea what the numbers typically are, but there will easily be 100+ filtering through... Or at least it seems that way lol don't concern yourself too much about feeding everyone. Being some food and some booze and you'll be set.

im coming for sure. does anyone have an out from roo friday morning where i could buy some things to bring into the brunch. i just dont have access to coming and going but would like to provide something hot and fresh besides me.
not everyone drinks like a fish, so non boozed-up fruit is always good. and bread/carbs are always a good choice. I need to get out of this thread lol
I brought a bunch of delicious, fresh plums last year, both red and black... but I had a long Thursday night, didn't set an alarm, and slept way later than I expected to Friday morning. Didn't wake up until close to 11:00 and I was in BFE, so... sorry, didn't make it, again. I've been on a major apple kick lately, especially since I discovered two new varieties, kiku and pinata. OMG they are both so sweet, crisp yet soft, and non-acidic.
This year I'm thinking of prepping everything at home for guacamole, except for the avocados since they never keep, then finishing it Friday morning, and bringing the organic blue tortilla chips I'm currently having a love affair with. Unless someone else traditionally brings guac, since someone seems to bring it to any party I go to these days. If it is already someone else's thing I'll be happy to think of something else. I'm not much of a drinker before 5PM but I'll probably bring some sort of booze as well, maybe a box of Naked Grape pinot grigio, which seems "brunchie" enough to me. I wish I could find canned champagne locally. Mmm... mimosas...

My boyfriend and I will be there. I'm thinking of bringing some homemade bagels and something sweet. I'll know more once it gets closer and We figure out our travel plans. Will bring booze, cups and ice if food falls through though!
