The "three parts to this clue" part tells me it's either a band with three members or three names in their band name - Crosby Stills and Nash, Medeski Martin and Wood, etc. Don't know how either of those bands would fit though, or if any others would work.
I am awful at these things but the glasses are making me think of Lisa Loeb...
I was just researching her. Trying to make her fit with the clue. Along with Elvis Costello and Weezer. I had the biggest crush on Lisa back in elementary school. I loved her so much, and got shit for it all the time.
I know where you're coming from I've been trying to figure out a way to make Rivers Cuomo fit
Why misspell Stephen King and not any other name.... maybe to clue us in to the word King. I know of a band with a misspelled name with a crown in their logo. Why are the glasses there.... I know somebody had a solo album with two songs called Shine Blockas. I think sunglasses are a good way to block something that is shining.
So I was thinking Earth wind and fire with stevie wonder. They toured not too long ago
3 parts - earth wind and fire glasses and misspelling - stevie they also featured stevie wonder's song shining star
or maybe stevie wonder and BB King who also toured together not too long ago
EW+F are also from Colorado where the Shining takes place. Still I think the three parts refers to three distinct aspects of the clue (the misspelled name, the shining, the glasses) rather than the band
