If you watched the Grammys last night, then you saw Willie Nelson and Kris Kristofferson reunite and sing "The Highwaymen" from their 80's/90's supergroup with Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. As someone who grew up on their music, I would absolute love to see Willie and Kris perform at Bonnaroo with Merle Haggard as the new Highwaymen. According to Billboard, the outlaws are all in the process of working on a new album together. To see this on the farm would be mindblowing, and if a new album really is in the works, I could see them making a stop in Manchester if they were to tour. If not this year, I've got high hopes for next year.
They've played the festival before as solo acts so it wouldn't be crazy to think they'd be booked as this group.
Exactly. I think there is a little bit more to it than wishful thinking. I could realistically see this taking place, and I'm holding out hope that it does someday. You can't really get a more legendary "country legend".
