I've been thinking about this for a couple years and its definitely happening this year if it is allowed! I know the RV camps are riddled with loud fossil fuel generators. I will not be RV camping but want to bring a noiseless safe and environmentally friendly solar generator. Any information all y'all lovely inforooers could provide would be appreciated, thanks!

Thanks for the reassurance I don't see why they wouldn't be allowed either. It just seems weird to me that I have not seen any in the five years I have been to Roo in either GA or VIP especially with a generally environmentally friendly population of Bonnaroovians. Maybe I'll seek out some kind of official word on it seeing as it would be shit to get to the farm all the way from CT and it be an issue. Yes for equal power output a solar generator would generally be significantly more expensive as an initial investment. On the other hand a 250 dollar battery could produce the same amount of power as a gallon of gas every day for the next ten years.

I brought a Honda gas generator this year and had zero problems. First of all no one is around to tell someone and who would they tell? Second you couldnt hear the generator outside of our camp. Third it ran for three hours every morning while powering two fans and three power strips full of cell phones getting charged. I allowed anyone to plug anything in and obviously had zero issues. So I would think you would have zero issues just as I did with a solar generator. What will people say? Your stealing the suns free energy?
