Yeah, that was some BS. I was at work and watching on my phone periodically. First it was 2-0, then 2-2, then 4-2. When the Kings scored the 5th goal I stopped checking. Good thing it only counts as one loss. I have faith Crawford will bounce back.
Crawford has been amazing post season, but a bad loss is bound to happen. I'm sure the next game he will be back on his game and it looks like we will finally have Shaw back. The team will get it together and as a whole just play a much better game. We've had some tough losses in the 3rd period, hopefully this will be our last blown game. I'll be camping for the holiday weekend and hope I get get some radio signal to listen in.
Montreal deserved this win. I'm really surprised if this series goes to seven.
if habs tie it up, absolutely this will go to 7 games. The habs wont tonight with One line plugging away, the rest floating, and Tokarski playing above his abilities (if st louis remembered how ti shelf a puck, the game wouldnt have made it to overtime. I dont feel like Lundqvist has had to make any big saves. A lot of outside shots. The Rangers are playing an excellent system of a relentless forcheck, taking away all space, and keeping the Habs to the outside and rubbing them out into the boards. YET, the habs squeak out a W. If the Habs start playing like they did in game 6 and & vs boston, Then the rangers might not be having their was like they are now.
All that said, the Habs were at least playing like equals in the 2nd and 3rd. Until that point, the Rangers have been the better, hungrier team.
I'm not sure Bollig has a role on this team. When Shaw comes back, I hope it is in the place of that slow, lumbering, POS. Handzus won 4 of 16 draws at home and continues to eliminate all chances Kane has to score when 5 v 5. Quenville keeps wanting to grit where he should want to have talent. Hawks haven't won their first road game in a series since 2010. Saturday's game is huge.
I'm still waiting for the arrival of Sharpy. I think he's had one good game this post season and that was way back against the blues. Although Hossa is always all around solid, I keep waiting for him to score some goals, I think he has only 2 all post season. Those are the 2 that I'm waiting to step up and score some damn goals. Crawford has been the MVP with Toews right behind him. Kaner and Keith has had some huge games while Hjalmarsson and Bickell have consistsntly been beasts. Shaw coming back is really big. Damn it, why is Saturday so far away!
The 2nd time yeah, I thought his first one would have been an easy goal had at Louis lifted it more than 2 feet. Not trying to take anything away from Tokarski, the kid was brilliant and really kept the Habs in it. Just saying the rangers missed a few opportunities, and I don't really feel like this game turned the series around for the habs yet, tho it was their best game so far.
Here's to hoping the Habs can win another one on the road Sunday.

That game last night has definitely got me interested in following hockey. Can't believe the rangers pulled it out even with all those penalties.
This has been the worst playoffs I've ever seen in terms of officiating by refs. Last night was a result of the refs worrying about missed calls, like the one on Prust in game 3. It's not how playoffs have been covered in the past. They gotta swallow their whistles and let the players decide the game.

I thought the Habs scored a power play goal last night and the Rangers scored one short handed...

I'm saying the officiating is terrible, the results of penalty calls is irrelevant to my point. Playoff hockey has never been called the same as the regular season. The types of penalties they are calling are not normally called during the playoffs. It's bullshit.
Very concerned I will have the same feelings tomorrow.
It must be hard for Habs fans. Does the franchise history mean this doesn't count for anything or does the recent history mean this is a big step forward?
im of the mind that its a step forward, the habs have been mildly cursed since Roy left. We have a great core of players just about to hit their prime, and now we know who we can count on in the playoffs,
I hope we dont sign Vanek, I hope we Trade Plekanec, and i hope Pacoretty learned something. Hes too good to not score in the playoffs

Sounds exactly what I'm saying about the Bruins.
I hope we don't sign Iginla, I hope we trade Marchand, and I hope Krejci/Lucic learned something. He's too good to not score in the playoffs.
