absolutely in love with this stripped down version:
I felt the same way and after watching them several times back to back, I instantly purchased tix to their show in ATL in May I'm so stoked to see them again for the 1st time since the farm in '11.

I remember when these tickets first came out, I didn't have the $80 to get the floor tickets I wanted, so I waited. When I did have the money to spare I went buy my ticket only to find out there are no floor tickets left available. I was very surprised at this, the thought never really crossed my mind I suppose. I decided that I did not want to go to this concert and sit in a seat. I wanted to party and dance away.
I changed my mind a couple weeks ago. I decided that did not want to miss this "It will be an awesome show and who knows when the next opportunity to see them will be" So I looked and found that there were still plenty of seats available, and I found a seat in section I was okay with for $40. Because there were plenty of seats left I didn't buy it then (I've perfected the art of putting things off until the very last moment). After finally convincing my roommate to come to this show we get on ticketmaster yesterday to find that there were suddenly general admission floor tickets available. And on top of that tune-yards is opening. Yesterday was a good day. I am not exactly sure what was the cause for those tickets becoming available again, but I am very happy I waited until the last moment to buy them.
Now the reason I am in this thread. I remember reading a good while back that you were supposed to wear costumes or formal wear, and seeing as I do not have any formal wear, costume is my route. I had the idea that the simplest thing to do would be to dress myself up like a hipster, but then I thought that everybody who chooses not to dress up will likely be dressed that way. So I thought I would come here for advice. I see quite a few of you have went to this tour already so I would like to ask what are some of the costumes you saw? What would be a good idea? And if anybody does choose to help me out and give me and idea keep in mind that my budget for this is somewhere between the thrift shop and Wal-Mart.
Regardless if I have a cool costume or not, I expect this to be the funnest thing I have done since the GOTR tour. I cannot express how excited I am to be seeing this show with the floor tickets.
I saw them with tUnE-yArDs last night at Kansas City and they were outstanding - it was just a full-on party atmosphere. Starlight is a great outdoor venue!

Set List and review of Columbus OH show, 4/29. Attire: A large percentage elegantly dressed, quite a few costumes (thought I was in a scene of Eye's Wide Shut a couple times). Show: Apparently they are blocking off the upper deck in most if not all arenas on this tour. My initial thought last night was that the performance was better than the Cleveland show, with the (unexpected) exception that the CLE crowd brought the party. After a 2+ hour drive home in a downpour to reflekt, I think the Cleveland performance was slightly better, and that relates directly to the crowd energy feeding the band. Joan of Arc and Here Comes the Night Time have cemented themselves as my favorite live numbers on Reflecktor. As after CLE, if you have a chance, get your arse to a show on this tour!
Reflektor Flashbulb Eyes Neighborhood #3 (Power Out) Rebellion (Lies) Joan of Arc Get Right (Tour debut) Month of May The Suburbs The Suburbs (Continued) Ready to Start Neighborhood #1 (Tunnels) We Exist No Cars Go Haïti Afterlife It’s Never Over (Oh Orpheus) (Régine on B-stage) Sprawl II (Mountains Beyond Mountains)
Encore: Uncontrollable Urge (DEVO cover) Normal Person Here Comes the Night Time Wake Up

Where were you at for this show? I was in 'the pit' and I didn't like the crowd at all. It didn't seem like everyone was totally into it until Here Comes The Night Time. I was disappointed with that.
I was not disappointed with the performance though, it was amazing. And Here Comes The Night Time could very well be my favorite song I have ever seen live

I was directly in front of Sarah (violinist) on the rail. Crowd was disappointing for a CBus show.

Aside from festivals, and a crummy Blink 182 reunion concert, I have never seen a show outside of Columbus so I find it interesting you say that the crowd was disappointing for a CBus show. How would you say the Columbus crowd rates against other crowds you have been a part of?
So I went to The Gorge for the first time. Saw Arcade Fire.
If you are a live music fan and have not been to this venue, you must. YOU MUST. It is indescribable.
It is also completely insane that someone setup a concert venue here.
Were you GA or did you do seats? Where is the best place to be?
We were in the lawn, the sound was loud and rocking. A bit muffled but way less muffled then you would think it would be.
Pit would have been cool I guess, but I could see myself picking lawn again, because the scenery is just so incredible, and the breeze off the Columbia river felt awesome.
Before I bought tickets I read somewhere that everyone's first visit to The Gorge should be on the lawn. I think this is good advice, but someone with more Gorge experience than me might say otherwise.
I've got floor seats for tomorrow. Pretty psyched. I'm a Reflektor convert. Hated it for a week and now I love it more every day. Very interested to see what Chicago band they cover. My guess is Wilco but there are so many choices.
If they did "Saturday in the Park" on Wednesday I'd fucking flip.
I'll be in one of the 300 sections. Hopefully it'll be fun up in that cavern of an arena we call the United Center.

What a way to end the US tour.
Intervention, We Used to Wait, Haiti, and Empty Room?
Screw everything else we got Empty Room!* They haven't even played that 50 times in their entire career, and yet they turn it into a great middle school dance slow jam.
I really dug the steel drum intro to Power Out, but Regine's voice giving halfway through It's Never Over was a bummer.
I got seat upgrades, my friend got to see someone he hadn't in a decade, and we got to see a kickass show.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go on an overnight drunk, and in 10 days I'm going to set out to find the shark that ate my friend and destroy it. Anyone who wants to tag along is more than welcome.

I'm really upset I couldn't see them on this tour. Only opportunity I had was in May in Atlanta but I had to chose between them and OutKast because of course they had to be on the same fucking night
Intervention, We Used to Wait, Haiti, and Empty Room?
Words cannot describe how fucking jealous I am of everyone who went to the second Chicago show. Three of my favorite songs, plus goddamn Mavis Staples?!
I swear to god every time I try to catch a band on the first night of a multi-night run, I get fucked over. Every time I see them the last night, I get a top 10 in my life show. This sealed it, I will only be catching last shows from now until forever. /endrant
