God speed! Keep trying even if it says no tickets available. Sometimes miracles happen. Also, sometimes the app onsale starts like a minute before the regular onsale, so if you have a smartphone-- you should be refreshing on both before the onsale. I hope you get one, this is gonna be awesome.
But seriously, I have no good ideas on what to wear except for just a suit. It's gonna be hot. If anyone has any ideas, I'm all ears.

I know one Inforooster who was at the Miami show on Thursday, and he & his friends wore dressy attire with fancy masks. (Think "Eyes Wide Shut" but more elaborate than creepy.) That's a cheaper & classier option than a full costume, right? Hope you get tickets!!!
After only two days of listening, Reflektor gets my vote for album of the year. It's perfect guys.
I'm just not hearing it I guess. It's good, but I'm not sure it gets my AOTM vote at this point. Musically I'm loving it. Lyrically, it's starting to annoy me.

Cheese ball lyrics for sure. Much of the gandeur just loses my attention. It makes for good music to make dinner and drink beer to...background music basicly.

Some of the lyrics are pretty whack. Plus it lacks cohesion. In particular, the spoken word intro at the beginning of Normal Person (I think?) is really jarring and out of place. I was expecting to be the one defending this from the haters but I'm underwhelmed.
I am curious to hear your thoughts on this. I found the album to be very cohesive with a great flow and build up as the tracks move on. But you're not the first person I've seen make this comment. Can you elaborate on what exactly isn't working for you?
Lyrically this album works fine for me considering it's more dance/live driven. I don't think it lacks anymore substance than a Cut Copy or Hot Chip album which seems to be more about getting bodies moving than provoking thought. Arcade Fire deserves to have a little fun too guys.

I was excited for this album because I thought the first single was great and different from their past work. The whole album doesn't seem like they committed full on to the new sound though. It sounds like out takes from the Suburbs were just mixed in at random. Toss in underwhelming lyrics and obnoxious transitions and I'm having a little trouble getting through the whole thing in one sitting.

I dunno y'all. I feel like "Reflektor" is unlike anything they have done. "We Exist" most resembles Suburbs until those synth sounds come in. "Flashbulb Eyes" is more ANCO yeasayer? than old AF, right? "Here Comes the Night" is my favorite track from the album and would easily be a standout track on any of their previous efforts - This song best represents Reflektor's feel IMO. "Normal Person" is just old rock n' roll and a much better attempt at it then "Month of May" was. "Porno" and "Afterlife" are both exceptional tracks and though the others I didn't mention may not be as great, I certainly don't think they're bad by any means.
This album picks up where "Sprawl ll" left off - which obviously felt different from the rest of Suburbs. I like the many variants Reflektor offers. It may not be seamless but each track compliments the greater whole. If Suburbs was for peddling a huffy in the sun, Reflektor is for cruising an Enzo at night.

i like that you like it. Your review made me listen to those tracks again. The more i listen, the more i like it, i just had higher expectations. And I like Month of May more than Normal Person, but that's just me.
Edit: instead of making another post, I'll just add to this one. Porno is probably my favourite song on the album right now.
Whoa! Hit the brakes. I am also really enjoying this album so far and it has exceeded my expectations (especially after hearing reflector), but Im not sure that this tops Funeral.

Let's not jump the gun.
I'm committing early. This is my favorite. I really feel like they've reached their creative pinnacle here. Love all of the disorientated synth sounds sprinkled throughout this one. God bless you James Murphy.
Funeral and Reflektor are two very different albums. Funeral is classic AF, sure. This is progression. This is their OK Computer. Experimental, yet nostalgic. A perfect follow up/response to Suburbs/mainstream success.

Funeral is probably my favourite album of all time, so I can't see Reflektor being my fav AF album, but the praise it has gotten so far is very intriguing.
