I've been out of contract since 2009 and like it that way, but my phone has finally died and I have to get another one. What is your favorite phone on the market right now and why?
I dig the new Windows phone and I prefer Droid over iphones.

I'm due for an upgrade myself. I'm looking at android phones too. I don't want to pay a ton of money. The phone I have now is pretty good but I'd like one with faster/better internet. I have started looking stuff up but don't really have a favorite in mind yet.
I have the Galaxy S4 and a Galaxy Note 10.1. So yes, I am am a fan of Android. Internet is always quick, very few os problems with applications and so forth. Plenty of apps in the Play Store.

I know you ruled it out in the OP. But I do love my iPhone. More so than any Android or Windows phone I've owned.
If I were to go Android I'd personally go with an HTC. I work in cell phone retail and those seem to be the all around best and least complained about/returned/exchanged. Samsung isn't too far behind though.
Ooooh good question NBF. I have supposedly been up for a new phone for months now, but I have been lazy and haven't been to the store. There used to be a super convenient one that moved A WHOLE block away and it has held me back. I just heard about the Pixel a few days ago. I would love to hear some reviews as well!
I will not be considering an iPhone. For me, it would be this or some other Android device.
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
I had one of these and I loved the shiz out of it. I would switch back to it right now if I could get email and take better pictures.
My husband is going back to a basic feature phone. Texting is the only thing he is concerned with at this point. I considered it for about thirty seconds, but I do pretty much all of my Etsy stuff on my phone, so a dumb phone is not really an option for me right now.
My last few phones have all been iPhones, so I'm pretty sure I'll be happy with the 7. My 6 is almost unusable at this point, but that is 100% my fault for refusing to buy a case and then dropping it multiple times. The Pixels are supposed to have better battery life and generally be good phones, so I was thinking about giving something different a chance, but change is scary.

Just had a conversation today about not knowing what phone to get. I jokingly said "sidekick" and then got seriously sad that I never actually owned one.

I haven't had an iPhone in over 2 years now. I had the 1% worse iPhone 4 a few years ago. When I brought it in, I was determined to NOT get an iPhone, but the sales guy convinced me to get the 5s. I hated it so much. Jeremy got sick and tired of my bitching and bought me a droid. I currently have an HTC a9 One and love it. I even have a droid tablet now.
Switching from an iPhone to a droid was super scary and I get why people don't do it (I lost like half of my contacts in the switch), but for me the flexibility and being able to make it personal and how you want it to work was worth it.

I had a droid several years back and my husband has had a few. Neither of us have had very good luck with them, so that adds another reason why I figured I'm better off just sticking with what I know I've liked. And I already bought a case for this one, so hopefully, I won't break it this time.
Anybody try a Google Pixel yet? I have to replace my phone, and I think it's between that and a new iPhone.
Had mine for almost a month now after 5+ years of Samsung Galaxy's. I went with FI service rather than Verizon as I was out of contract. I haven't had any problems with the network, but I know someone that claims they have issues with service on FI. Love the fact that it's 30 a month plus the phone cost. I tend to keep my phones a long time, so this should pay off nicely for me. It's very similar to other droids, there are some little differences, but everything has been positive so far. I'd recommend it.

Jailbroke IPhone user here. love it. also love how easy the handoff is between Phone - Ipad - MacBook. With my phone being jailbroke it opens the phone up to so much more.

been on Fi for about a year. really enticed by the pixel but I'm still very pleased with my Nexus 5X so I haven't made the jump yet. Fi has been great, I love the simple billing structure. Pay for the data you use, get paid back for the data you don't. It's the way it should be.
We'll see how long I can resist the urge to get a Pixel. Maybe in the spring they'll drop the price some and I'll snag it. I typically buy a new phone every 6 to 12 months because I'm insane.
