Enjoyed Beyonce and Jay-Z performance. Something seemed off with Lorde's.
I understand she's new in the performing business but she didn't move, at all. she had a stage where people were around her on all sides. All she did was stand there and keep doing that creepy movement with her hands. It was boring to me. Maybe I am a little biased because I'm not a huge fan of the music she makes but I will admit that for only being 16 she is running shit right now!

Ehh, not every performer has to move on stage. I thought it was interesting that they picked her performance to follow Beyoncé. I thought it was OK, nothing to be blown away by, but that is not neccesarily my favorite song she does.
Lorde's performance was just a reflection of her age I think. Young and no stage legs yet.
Decidedly mixed reviews for her. I'm not much of a fan but thought she was great.
I'm not much of a fan either. I think she needed to connect just a bit more with her audience. It's usually a sign of inexperience and understandably so, fear, to keep disconnected. She'll build confidence.
Sound City was one of my favorite movies of recent but Gary Clark Jr was robbed for Best Rock song solely because of Paul McCartney's popularity. No way was that the best rock song of 2013.
I'd watch Musgraves if she came to Roo. Great album.
She was there last year. I saw her play in local songwriting cafés here when she was 19 and was quite surprised when I saw her name getting buzz around the time of the Roo lineup announcement. I like the open mindedness in her songwriting. Definitely part of a new breed of Nashville artists compared to the recent stuff that sounds like horrible Rock and Roll.
