I haven't posted on here in a while, and that's mainly because I do bonnaroo every other year, and if I post during the time I can't afford to go it makes me miss the farm all that much more.
But I need your help, and I know you are all great people so here goes:
The college that I'm planning to attend is holding a scholarship contest. The guidelines are: Make a youtube video about why you chose said college, get more views than anyone else, win $3000 to help pay for school.
Simple, and I made a rap song about the school so it's a little creative and cheesy too, but I need the views. The video is only about 45 seconds long. So if everyone wouldn't mind taking the time out of their busy days to watch this 45 second video I'd really appreciate it. Or if you guys just want to let it play in the background with no volume that's fine too.
You have to watch it from a home computer unfortunately or it won't count the view, and if you want to add extra views you can refresh the page but please let the entire video play again so when youtube analyzes the views (Which they do at around 301) they'll be able to see we aren't just spamming it.
I really appreciate all the help, and to show this if the video can reach 400,000 views I will do whatever this board agrees upon, post a video of me doing that to youtube to show my thanks. (Within reason, I'm not going to go kidnap a dog or anything illegal)
Also if you guys don't mind sharing this on your facebooks, twitters, aim, all over wherever I'd appreciate it. You can title it: "Watch this person make a fool of herself"
The reason I'm trying so hard is because I'm trying to get a degree in nursing so I can become an RN. I'm currently a heart monitor tech at my local hospital but they don't really pay as well as you think they would, and my finances are very tight. So I'm asking for help everywhere. I just want to help people for a living really.

EDIT: Just in case someone thinks I'm THAT douchey, that's a joke. I watched the video and will watch again. And I would have watched even if it was for UK.

It really is killing me! One guy has over 200,000 so I really need to keep an eye on my numbers here so I can keep building. They say it could take a day to verify though!
Not going to UK here! I chose a local college mainly because it's cheaper and I can get an associates in nursing there before moving on to a bachelors. Then I can at least work as a RN and make a little money to put myself through the rest of college.
Good idea! I never really thought of that. I passed the info around my hospital and all my coworkers have been sharing it like crazy though. I'll definitely have to check out some more nursing blogs. If you know some please feel free to share them. Thanks for watching and sharing!
So far I'm fourth in the contest, if I could just make third place I'd be happy. They have a $1000 scholarship for third and that would actually at least help cover my tuition!

Thanks everybody! I just went through my finances with the financial aid people, and didn't receive enough FAFSA to cover the cost of tuition, so this really helps! I'm opening a savings account as a back up plan now to start putting some money from checks each paycheck in. Hopefully even if I lose I'll be able to cover tuition and books on that money. I may have some overtime to work at the hospital.
But you guys are amazing and I doubt there's anywhere else I'd be able to find such helpful folks! Definitely missed everyone at the farm this year, can't wait til next!
I think my best chances are third place, I'm still in fourth and only have until the 19th to try and reach 30,000 to get in third.
I have no idea how, but the first place person seems to have 600,000. I don't see how that's even possible really, but I might not be too youtube savvy. This is my first video after all.
