Max Bemis is an incredible lyricist, and Say Anything's shows used to be awesome.
I wish I got to see them on the ... Is A Real Boy 10th Anniversary tour they just did.
I've seen them twice, once in 2011 or 2012, and once in 2013. The first show was definitively better than the second. Maybe it was an off night, but I have no desire to see them again now.

T. Swift - she's not the best singer in the world, or even close to it, and I generally don't like listening to country-pop. At all. But a handful of her songs are incredibly catchy, and another large handful actually have very poignant and relatable (albeit cheesy, ya) lyrics.
Also, Lil Wayne. I think he has some of the most clever rap lyrics in the business, and sure sometimes he sounds like a 12-year-old girl wailing them out, but I dig the guy's work.

they were probably the first band that I really, really loved. I still enjoy a lot of their new music as well. I honestly don't why people hate on them so much.
I've had my last.fm account since 2005 (sophomore in HS), this just shows how damn much I listened to them in high school, considering I rarely listen to them now.
ps. will people be my last.fm friends?? I have like none.
edit: well crap, I didn't realize it would auto-generate my now listening scrobbler. here's my profile edit 2: just found out none of the music I've been playing from my work computer has been scrobbling. personal problem.

THIS. Well, I don't love their new stuff for the most part, but god, I loved the shiz out of X&Y, A Rush of Blood, and Parachutes. "Scientist" is among top five most-easily-makes-me-cry songs. I miss old Coldplay.

I don't really know anyone irl who doesn't like them, but I'm sure they get plenty of hate around here. I just can't bring myself to care- love Dave, love his shows, I've seen them in concert 9 or 10 times and will be buying tickets this year too

I think I was one of the few people whose life was made by the opportunity to see R. Kelly at the farm in 2013. There is a misconception that he's a joke now, but the man is a genius.
Miley Cyrus Taylor Swift And, apparently, Twenty One Pilots (I didn't realize they had so many haters til Inforoo made that known to me recently, haha.)

Haters gonna hate. A lot of people on here have terrible taste in music, including me.

I have no shame in admitting that I have genuinely terrible taste in music. I was just surprised to find out that TOP falls under the category of "bad music," haha.
I'm still a huge fan of Jack White and The Black Keys. White is original in the way he does his live sets, one of the most focused live performers around. And The Black Keys had some really cool songs on Turn Blue, just wished they mixed their live set up more often, I hate when bands play the same stuff in the same order every night.

I love the Black Keys. I have seen them four different times and they were great all four times. I saw the for the first time in the pouring ass Rain at Voodoo in '09 and every time that they have come back, except for the free concert they did for one of those huge events they do here. I guess since it was touring for different albums, I didn't have the same song setlist. Or I just really like those songs and didn't mind. They've played with 110% every time I have seen them. I don't get the hate.
I love Jack White too, and all his various projects.

Seen The Black Keys 6 times, first time I saw TBK was at ACL in 2008, which was maybe the best of the 6 shows I've seen of theirs. Saw them at the Erwin Center a month ago and that was better than expected as well.
