I haven't seen a UM thread on here....so, rumors/dates/stories/ect.......go, do, discuss

I'm in for the Atlanta date! I'm very excited. The last time I saw UM and STS9 together was at The Masquerade. The first night was incredible and the second night was rained out. We all had to wait out in a massive rainstorm for an hour or two only to be told the stage was too dangerous for a performance. It always left me wanting more and now we ATLiens will get it!
They've had a New Orleans show in May the last two years I think, but nothing yet this year. Hoping that changes.
The one last year was terrible. Dance music set featuring a venue full of kids on molly. I seriously had to shoulder check one dumbass kid at that show that kept leaning on me and stepping on my feet repeatedly after i told him twice to get off of my nutsack. That was my first time seeing UM in a venue and it put a really bad taste in my mouth regarding their fans. Seeing George Porter Jr and Walter "Wolfman" Washington for free before that (and an awesome fireworks display that followed) made up for it though.
Yep, that was a Sunday after FQF, if I remember correctly? So I guess that'd put it in April, not May. I left that Umph show early last year either way.

We won't get any dates added to the UMS9 schedule, they've added Milwookie for Halloween and of course the NYE run in Denver which I really want to make it out to
I'll be at the Chicago show. They're opening for STS9! Sooo excited!
That will be a tight show I'm jealous. On NYE it seems some bands play the Fillmore (Denver) a few years in a row, STS9, BHTTM, this year it is UM. I guess I should be getting tics soon because that is where I usually go. cr****
I'll be in Alpharetta unless something changes. I'm assuming STS9 will close this show, but I wish it was the other way around. No hate for STS9, I dig them, I just like UM more.

I enjoyed the UM show at the HOB in 2012, I actually thought it was more rocking than dancey.
The crowd was pretty rough. A really really drunk dude tried to strangle my buddy because he was talking to his girlfriend (she was just asking him about the balcony seating). I say tried, he put his warm sweaty hand around his neck, and than security jumped him and kicked him out.
Security at the HOB is notoriously overbearing, but I was grateful they helped avoid a scene that night.
Does anyone know if they're doing a run in NYC this year or something? Surprised they completely skip it on their tour when they're passing right through it going from Philly to Boston.
Will anyone be at the show in Silver Spring, MD this Saturday? I'm surprising my boyfriend with a trip up there and would love to meet up with anyone who may be around

I'll probably go see Umphrey's tonight in Asheville if I can't snag tickets to Sharon Jones... Consequently, both are artists I'd love to see this year at the farm...
I seen them in Providence a week and a half ago. Sound in the venue was off, could barely hear the vocals because a couple of guitars were overpowering. 80% of the time, that's not an issue. But you knew *it* just wasn't quite right.

I was there too and totally agree. I was standing behind the bar so there were quite a few conversations happening around us but it was still a great show I thought. I also caught them at the House of Blues Boston in 2012; that show was great. I can't wait to catch them this year

Was at the HoB show in 2012 also, and thought that was really good. Still is the most enjoyable UM show I've seen.

I saw them at the Columbus stop a few weeks ago, and they were great from start to finish. They worked in "Kashmir" as one of the encores. I'm personally hoping they get another LN spot at 'roo and have the opportunity to team with friends and play till dawn. That show with Big G two years ago was awesome.

I didn't see that Shine on You Crazy Diamond coming. I was floored the entire show and then that hit me in the face. I'd like to see them there again.
Seen Shine On and Girlfriend Is Better a couple of years back downtown Indy. Un-fucking-Real. God, i hope these guys get a late night again. Hate seeing them without the light show ala 2010. Granted i was on a the rail, but the lights make the show so much better
