I feel like it's only a matter of time before Rory/Juggs reads through these two pages of feeble attempts to "one-up" each other, and then decides to put all of us to shame. It would be poetic justice.

Bon Iver - I liked the Blood Bank EP when it came out, but for the most part his stuff brings on the zzzzzs Phoenix - Big "meh" The National - I've tried and tried again but their music just isn't as exciting or emotional gripping as the critics make it sound. The Lumineers - Polite indie folk rock... no thanks. Eminem - Maybe not loved here, but loved by the general public. Yes he can rap and rhyme but the music itself sounds so dated.
alabama shakes i'm terrible for my dislike for the band, (after all, they're, like, mmj's lovers or something) i just can't do the singer's face, it irks me. looks like a hipster madea
maybe I need to give him more of a listen, but aphex twin just sounds like noise to me. I feel like people liked the new album because they felt like they were "supposed to" :/

If I don't listen to them, I start to slowly dislike artists when someone tells me that their favorite is the "greatest of all time". Had someone try to convince me Foster the People and Childish Gambino were the "greatest of all time" the other day....I mean...really?
Agree, maybe because I haven't experienced them live or haven't listened to enough of their stuff.
Also, I dont understand Caribou and Jamie XX and DJs like that. Why are people excited for them? They remind me of FourTet or whoever the fuck that was before Matt and Kim in 2013. If I had the choice of drop kicking a puppy/cutting off my left nut/punching my own mother to get out of that shit I probably would have done all 3 to end my suffering. I still have nightmares about that guy.
EDIT: I really love puppies, my left nut, and my mother. So that says something.

Well this is awkward. Caribou, Jamie xx, and Four Tet are some of my favorite artists. Imo jamie xx is the best artist on the lineup this year
Silversun Pickups. They've been shoved down my ear canals long enough. I really can't stand them.
You just broke my heart a little. They are like one of my top favoritest. I have seen them three times and all three times on the rail (once in the rain).

You're right. Good thing this is the internet or this would be the most awkward I've felt in quiet some time.
I'm sure you're a great person, but I still hate all of those people. To each their own.

Do you just dislike the genre in general? I ask because Caribou and Jamie xx sound nothing alike, and neither is anything like Matt & Kim.
Its the slow electronic stuff that gets me. Possibly because I might just not understand it. I had never heard of either band before the lineup and gave them a shot. I normally dabble in a bit of everything, but the slow/trance(?) I dont even know what to call it, just not my thing.
And yeah I wasn't saying it was like Matt and Kim, I was just saying how we camped for them and FourTet was immediately before them.
Edit: I'm also not that into the bigger EDM stuff as well. So maybe that contributes to the dislike.

aw, no worries! the worst I have to say about them is that they were really, really, really overplayed on my favorite radio station and it just turned me completely off of them.
And that song "Animals" I think it's called, kinda sounds like a NIN rip off. But I'm not a real fan of NIN either.

Ummm they don't have a song called Animals. Cannibal? They have a song called that and they really don't sound like NIN...
