Its no secret that the states are light years ahead of most in terms of your craft beers. I am travelling from Toronto to The Berkshires this weekend and I was looking for some recommendations in terms of some great craft brews that I can pick up when Im down there.
I don't ever leave the US without loading some Dogfish Head into my car. Not sure if you can get Bluegrass Brewing Company in that area, but they have great stuff too.
Also, Mr. Moss, although the US has a tremendous craft beer selection, don't understate Ontario's own terrific craft beer options. We have some great stuff here!
Thanks Onion. I will be sure to load up on the Dogfish Head....and believe me, I dont take the local Craft brew for granted up here in the Big Smoke, I just know that the north eastern states have some great craft.
I'll take a Bellwoods brew over most beers any day of the week!
There's no Bluegrass over this way. A lot of Northeast, Colorado, and West Coast. Not too much from the South or Midwest.
Berkshire Brewing is easily my favorite from Western Mass. Steel Rail is one of my all time favorites, and Shabadoo is high up the list as well.
I only been to Northampton Brewing and Amherst Brewing once or twice, no complaints with either. Never tried Paper City or People's Pint. High and Mighty is from the Holyoke area and does some interesting stuff. Opa Opa sucks, not gonna lie - never been a fan.
If you can swing to Brimfield on a Saturday, I hear rave reviews about Tree House. I need to try it out sometime, but outside their Brimfield location it's really hard to find (and only on draft).
