Well maybe a trip to Home Depot and/or Lowes or something like that. I do have that baked good order coming in this weekend. Man, there are some BIG names not going to Roo this year.
no Scrogs either?? Ugh makes me sad I will miss you at brunch.....

I can't peel myself away from the updates from all my friends making their way to the farm.
I'm so thankful to Fawn and Quacker for letting me come crash their place this weekend. It'll be great to be with some Roo Family while we're missing the farm.
Kind of like spaghetti squash but with zuchhini? Let me know how it turns out!
Kind of. Some people use a spiralizer to make them more noodley, but I'm not that fancy, so I'm planning on using a vegetable peeler and then cutting them down to like fettuccine width. I will definitely report back.
Unsuccessful. The recipe I had said to dry them out in the oven on a low temperature, but I think because of the way I cut them, that was maybe not necessary, or I at least should not have done it for as long as it said. They came out crispy.
The Black Pearl in Newport makes the most fantastic mussels in a light white sauce. NEVER thought even as a NE girl i would like mussels. Did some searching tonight and found the secret. QC misery club might try this weekend. May be an epic fail.. maybe not.
PS Scroggie.. Miss you!! Get your chat working! Sarah is in charge of that this weekend. xoxo
Shall probably insult some folks with this comment and I do not mean to at all because we are reading so so many folks and going damn damn damn...WANT to be there. See everyone, oh we miss him and her and him and her and and and.. hugs , fun. Most of all i shall miss that random moment when BPilgrim shows up unannounced, walks right by us, I see him out of the corner of me eye, grab his ass and get that huge hug! Sorry if spoiling his rep but he gives great hugs and i still have a huge mind crush! First person at roo seeing this thread that spots the allusive spotted owl BP, please give a hug for me!
^B, I agree and it is making me a bit snaky tonight. This will be a rough weekend for all of us not on the Farm, but we can make it FUN, right?
Fawn, I miss you guys as well! but to fix that some, I am getting me NFF plane tix tonight. Looking at Thursday to Tuesday, maybe Wednesday, I have some friends in Boston it would be nice to see.
Dtree, that was a good HUG, Thank you and a big HUG back to ya!
I'll be needing that chat link as well, if you've got room for one more in the no-Roo mope brigade. If I can't be with my Roo family, then at least I can be "with" them, right?
I thought I had finally come to terms with missing Roo, and that it really wouldn't be all that bad by this point. The week in November when the Paul rumor went from possible to probable was the worst. Lineup release week was not fun either, but not nearly as bad.
But then last night, I found myself on the wrong part of YouTube to visit this time of year if I'm not going to Roo. Watched a video of You & Whose Army? into House of Cards from last year. Quaaaaackk! All those months of self-delusion about how I really wouldn't be missing all that much went right out the window. Even more than all the music, I'm gonna miss the heck out of my Roo peeps.
And then just now, Carry That Weight came on shuffle to tease me. Curse you, iTunes!

Well boo. The taco meat did not turn out great for us last night. It really didn't have any flavor. I was scared to use too many spices so that was probably the issue.
Sadness is finally kicking in.....I knew it was gonna be unavoidable. I kept telling myself from February through this week that I wouldn't miss Roo too much, and now that its here........blaaaaaaaaaaahhhh. I plan on watching the live feed tomorrow through the weekend when I can. I have a party to go tomorrow night whish will be great to keep my mind distracted. Plan on playing golf on Sunday which will help too. THEN next week(s) I get married and go to Jamaica, so everytime I start get to bummed about missing Roo I just say to myself (Just can it, Duddits, you have something waaaay better than Roo this year to look forward to), but it only kind of helps, lol.
I do feel a bit better about not going since I am still limping and weak from tearing my calf muscle about a month ago, but yeah, this still is sucky. Oh and the stream is blocked at work.
This is just sad, for the 1st time in 5 years I'm in Rhode Island and Bonnaroo is 1100 mles away. When I blew out my knee in February I thought there might be a chance of making it but it's not even close. There's no way to sugar coat it, this is a real bummer, not something I'm going to handle well at all. I suppose all of us here have reasons we couldn't go but it's not making it any easier. I'm not sure how I'll handle the weekend, I'll probably catch some of the livestream but I'm not sure that's going to help very much. Anyway I'm really happy for everyone who got there and I wish them the best 'roo ever.
SOOO.... is anyone, like me, at work and at a desk for the next 8 hours? Misery needs some company here
Right there with ya, sister. And it really, really sucks.
I have less than two hours left though and I'm only working a half day tomorrow before heading to the Island of Rhode for some Quack Club insanity for the weekend.

*hugs* to you Julie. Miss your face <3
Miss you too! I hope you guys have a blast at Quack Club.
Funk that LD, we are going to have FUN, Yipeeeeeee happy time! we do not have to worry about conflicts, or the HEAT or the Dust or the Rain or someone cancelling their show or sound bleed or sitting against the wall and if it has been pee'd on or not.
Although I could go for a doughnut from the Amish Baking Company and a Thurman Murman and Lettuce is in the Jam! Damn, this is gonna be tough...
OH man MIkeZ.. SO sorry you are missing it because of your knee!! Thought of you and yours this morning. The accident that your sons were in on the way there last year. Came to mind after reading the I-24 thread. Hang in there and get well!
