I am actually in Disney right now for a conference and they have Star Wars weekends going on. I feel this has entered some bias into my vote, but Star Wars it is!! Love the new Trek movies...but overall it just doesn't do it for me.
I voted Star Wars - I still remember seeing the original as a kid at our local theater, and everything about it blew my 8-year-old mind - but JJ Abrams' work on the two Star Trek reboots has been nearly flawless, in my opinion.

I'm assuming that this is an anti-Star Trek post since Stewart's like 80 and is just now getting around to eating NY pizza. He's spent a ton of time in NY (on Broadway, for example). You know Mark Hamill didn't wait 80 years to eat NY pizza...
My brothers and I were such big Star Wars fans as kids that they'll always be #1 to me. I never really got into the spin-off Star Wars stuff and saw the newer movies once but I just pretend they don't exist now.
Our kids are 8 and 10 and aren't even aware the newer movies exist. We've only shown the movies to them the way we saw them. I am really curious to see what JJ does with the new movies though.
As for Star Trek, my Dad was/is a huge Star Trek fan. I grew up playing with those original "dolls" and the Enterprise play set that he had. I've seen all the movies and most of the shows when I still lived at home but Star Wars was just cooler to me for some reason. I just enjoyed it more and I'm not sure if it's because I was a kid or what?
