Got two of the upper level seats, directly across from the stage. So it's a bit of distance away but Nassau Coliseum isn't that huge. Also, I'll get a straight on view instead of just one side.
For people who went on this tour....where do you think the best spot is for this show? Does it matter? I've avoided a lot of the details in case I ended up seeing it and didn't want to spoil everything that I should expect.

I think that would be about the best place on the upper level. I sat way way up at what would be center ice for a hockey game. It was also at a small areaa so the view way good but I didn't even realize til pretty far through he had a screen with some visuals that was completely out of my sight. Of course it could be the same thing there and I don't realize it but if I had to do it again I would take my chance with sitting straight on.

Doesn't really matter. The stage is huge and he's all over it, plus there's a lot to look at (dancers, huge screen, MOUNTAIN, etc...)

Perfect, thanks guys. I have been Nassau Coliseum a few times for shows and it's not that big so any seat ends up being decent. This should be good, being directly across from the stage as opposed to on one side and angling my neck the whole night.

I just grabbed tix for the AC show at boardwalk hall. $60, cheapest available, 3rd row upper level so I think it should actually be a pretty decent view.

If anyone was considering the Atlantic City show they are having a weekend deal, tix are only $25. PW: weekend
I'm catching it from all angles lately. I already bought my tix at full price. Yesterday a huge MoogFest sale was announced after I bought those tix too.

Has anyone found info on who will be opening act on the last leg of the tour? I'm starting to wonder if it will be Kanye only, which I guess I'm ok with but I would have preferred an act who was somewhere close to Kendricks level of popularity.

So my only real exposure to Kanye is from hate on this board and Watch the Throne which I like quite a bit. I've been a Jay-Z fan for a while and I know that Kanye has contributed quite a bit to him historically and I've liked those collaborations/contributions. Where should I start with Kanye based on liking what I've previously mentioned? It sounds like he's pretty much a lock and I try to at least give each headliner a chance if I'm not very familiar with them. Help.

Listen to The College Dropout. Not only is it an amazing album but it also paints you a picture for his whole story. About being the rap producer who made awesome beats that got a lot of buzz and then wanting to be a rapper too but being told he shouldn't/couldn't do it. After a life-changing, near death experience he put his heart and soul into his rap career and has taken off from there.
College Dropout is the BEST introduction to him IMO. I know right now he's focusing on his more recent albums at live shows but the starting off point with College Dropout eases you into the guy's story and it's also much less aggressive in terms of him promoting himself and saying he's the greatest and things like that (which turns some people off).
Last Call is 12 minutes long. Listen to the full thing.

I would listen to his whole catalog in chronological order. He had never disappointed, and each album is great. My personal favorite is Yeezus because it is such an innovative step in hip hop, and so different from anything else he's done.

Really good album. I'll take your advice going forward pmo, I had already downloaded Dropout before your post. Thanks for the guidance.
I think of all the shows to see this year, this is what i am most curious about. I have listened to him, but not a ton. Need to expand the everydays listens to include more Kanye

Like stated by someone else, you need to go straight through his catalog to increase the appreciation of his work. You'll see (hear) how he struggles with how each previous album was recieved. He kind of has a "love me, now hate me" wave of every other album, or something that could be more mainstream then an album that pushes the boundry pretty far.
