That's great. One of the best ways to avoid scalpers.
When I saw Mangum in DC, last year, they didn't release the "print-at-home" tickets till the day of the show. I guess they went full on this time around.
I actually prefer this. Means I don't lose the ticket before the show.

I've always been kinda down on Elf Power. Seeing them 3 or 4 times in the past 15 or so years, they have struck me as nothing more than filler for a live show. They weren't bad but not good either. I was impressed this time around.
Mangum seems like he's hiding on stage. Wandering out in a hat that was wore low and a big bushy beard, if was impossible to see his face. During the first few songs there was a hushed awe in the crowd. People who hadn't seen them in forever and people who had never seen them. Nobody could believed it was happening. By the third song the room filled with voices. Everyone was singing and laughing. The band had a smile on their faces and powered through about 90 minutes. No stage banter, at all. They came to play, we came to listen (and sing and dance).
What felt so good (and I commented on this a few times), is when a band reunites, it feels different. 15 years is a lot of time to expect someone to sound the same. Nothing changed with NMH. Nothing at all. They sound exactly how they did so many years ago. I said it earlier but I'll say it again:
That wasn't just the show of the year, that may have been one of the best I've ever seen.
