Interesting article where Bleacher Report lists some stats for the 5 undefeated BCS contenders blind, so you don't know which is for which team (unless you are a big stats whore). I picked Oregon.

No way this is Peterman part deux. Dobbs showed that he can put together competent scoring drives against an awesome defense. The big question mark is leadership and game management; all of his time against Alabama was in garbage minutes when the game was clearly out of reach. It's interesting, though, that Mizzou really struggled defensively against a mobile quarterback who wasn't even 100% (though Shaw is unquestionably better than Dobbs right now).
Here's to hoping this is Dobbs's breakout game. Fingers crossed.

I was at Mountain Oasis, so I caught none of the game. Was Bama's first team still in when Dobbs entered the game or had they already subbed everyone out?

The first team was in for the first drive (Dobbs came out at the beginning of the half). The scoring drives came later after Saban went to the bench. Alabama's backup defense would still probably be in the top half of the SEC.

Saturday evening was awesome, so satisfying.
Duke could win 9 games, just realized that looking at their schedule.

UT ends the year with a 962 APR which includes a 1000 (i.e. the best possible score) for the Spring semester. That should go towards making the NCAA happy with us for once.
If Conner Shaw can lead a team to victory over Mizzou, I like yous guys' chances with whoever you have in uniform on Saturday.
I'm confused by this post.
To clarify, I don't think Conner Shaw is a very good quarterback, at least not in the "I want him to lead my team to victory in the fourth quarter of a big game" kind of way.

10 isn't out of the question. We all know Miami isn't a top 10 team. I'll be ecstatic with 8 wins. Regardless of the teams left on the schedule you have to take into account the culture shift Cutcliffe is working on. This is a good football team, but its still a work in progress and nothing is a gimme.

all that guy does is win. he plays hard, he plays injured, he does whatever it takes. trust me, I hate him.
Tebow was a great college football PLAYER in a system that fit perfectly around his talents. He only topped the 3000 passing yard mark once.
I'm not really trying to knock on either guy. Passion, toughness, and leadership get you a long way in football, but if I was making a list of QBs to build a team around I'll be damned if Connor Shaw is anywhere on it.
