www.coachella.com/experiences/ is updated with activities and what not. Personally, I don't know how anyone finds the time to do any of this stuff, but looks like theres alot of stuff to do this year in the campgrounds.
Notable new additions:
There will be a full bar in the smaller beer gardens between the two main stages. There will be a rock-paper-scissors tournament, a corn-hole tournament, and a camp games tournament. Giant snowball fight in campgrounds Thursday night. Pie eating contest.
FOOD:
The newly expanded TERRACE area could quite possibly blow your minds. This area is going to feature some of the festival’s finest foods and artisan vendors. It will also be home to vendors for those of you with special dietary needs. Plus, a whole lot more you’ll see when you get there. Featured POP UP RESTAURANTS include:
Night + Market – Thai Drinking Food Crossroads – Mediterranean-Themed Plant Based Fine Cuisine Stripped Back – Refined Street Food Mohawk Bend – California Craft-Made Fare Beer Belly – Craft Beer. Crafty Food Tony’s Darts Away – Locally Sourced Pub Fare Mexicali Taco & Co. – Baja Style Tacos
Don’t forget to stroll around the YURTS feature such vendors as:
Stumptown – Artisan Hand Roasted Coffee Salt & Straw – Small Batch, Hand Made Ice Cream Bon Puf – Putting A Modern Spin On Cotton Candy Clover – Perfectly Pure Cold-Pressed Juice Bar Crazy Go Nuts – Gourmet Walnuts Crème Caramel LA – Custard + Confections Dried & True Beef Jerky – All Natural Beef Jerky The Fancy Boyz – Organic Bakery Sweets & Snacks Le Bon Garcon – Hand Crafted Caramels Sweet Clementine’s Handmade Popsicles – Hand Crafted Popsicles Yes Bar – A totally yummy, totally good for you snack bar. Well they released more tickets........ to their neighbors.
If you live in any of these zip codes, you can buy face value tickets to either weekend next week: 92201, 92202, 92203, 92210, 92211, 92230, 92234, 92236, 92240, 92241, 92253, 92255, 92258, 92260, 92261 – 92264, 92270, 92274, 92275, 92276, 92561, 92254 and 92292.
Ugh, I'm so disappointed there aren't any official GV shows in San Diego this year. I was debating driving up for that The Knife show. Now that I've booked a hotel I won't be heading into Indio until Friday morning and have no plans Wed or Thur.
Don't know if there's a thread for this, but I'll ask here. Anybody have any recommendations for a camera that is compact, and also has an excellent zoom? While at most fests, I generally don't try to make my way to the front, and am generally in the middle to the back end of a crowd. I'm def not trying to get shots like what Phi, and other members take where you can see every minor detail about an artist's face. I'm guessing I wouldn't mind spending anywhere from $200-$300ish (depending on what features/brand/etc the camera is). Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Most of my family lives in 92203 zip code & whatever zip code La Quinta is, I'm sure it's also one of these. Wonder if you have to show a picture ID for a wristband to use this or if it's just based off your billing address? Hmmmm......?
Also, if I had my cousin or something buy two tickets & she showed her proof of residency wonder if I'd have to show proof of residency too? The "guest" part of that description is kind of confusing? Do they allow one guest per resident?

Monie This page goes more into it: www.coachella.com/residents/ Looks like the purchaser ID needs to match the zip code, and then the wristbands go directly on your wrist. If your cousin bought two, and her ID has the right zip code, I don't see why you couldn't be the +1.
I knew to expect close to the fest, but that's pretty shizzy!
I used to agree, but once the schedule is out you really only need a short bit to gather what you're planning on. Release a schedule a month ahead of time and it's just pointless handwringing and complaining.
So... this happened to me this weekend: imgur.com/a/tkhYv . 25% of that money went to me.
Needless to say, I already put in for Friday the April 11th to attempt my first Bothchella. Found a local friend who knows a friend with an extra wristband for 400.
Just waiting for my boss to OK the extra day off. Keep your fingers crossed for me.
