I wouldn't call the Giants last two Super Bowl wins a fluke, especially not the last one. They had one of the most dominant defensive fronts in recent memory. They caused Brady all kinds of trouble in that Super Bowl. If he scrambled a bit more he may have been able to get a few extra passes over Pierre Paul's outstretched arms.
Let's not forget they needed to win their last 2 and Dallas to lose their last 2 to sneak in as an 9-7 record as a division winner.
The Packers were what, an 8-8 wildcard the last time they won it all. Once you get in the playoffs it's all about which team is hot and healthy. I'm personally hoping Houston rides a hot streak throughout the season. It's great to see Andre Johnson finally get some help at the other wideout spot. I just hope they didn't wait until too late in his career.

The Packers were 10-6, lost an absurd amount of close games, and had the best point differential in the NFC that year. The Giants had a negative point differential in 2011. You're right though that both teams played their best ball in late December and into the playoffs.

Wow. I ended up catching NFL Live tonight on ESPN2. The first 15ish minutes was devoted to Belichek's press conference today on Hernandez. At no point during the 15 minutes did either Belichek or the ESPN people use the term "allegedly". That's no good for Hernandez.
Playoff teams are never the same. And, look up the division winners of the NFC south over the past ten years... That division is the equivalent of a monkey throwing darts. I'll take the hungry, Drew Brees led Saints over the Matt Ryan led Falcons. I think either one could win, but I expect both to be in the playoffs.

Belichick didn't even use his actual name, I'm pretty sure.
Belichick did what I'd expect a coach to do in that situation, but the media going "BELICHICK DID WHAT HAD TO BE DONE. WHAT A LEADER!" is just awful. Belichick didn't cure cancer, he answered 10 questions about how he views one of his ex-players killing a person. He answered them in full sentences as opposed to grunts, one-word answers and mumbles, so I guess he should get a high five for that effort or something?

In addition, Florida has gone so far as to remove his honorary All-America brick from their campus.
Ian Rapoport ?@rapsheet20m What is new #Seahawks WR Percy Harvin (hip) battling? I'm told it's a slight tear in the labrum. Second opinion will be importan

Even I think the media attention and reaction to Belichick is ridiculous.
He's a good coach and done great things in New England - but it gets annoying when he's portrayed like people should bow to him.

I've always liked all variations of the Chargers' uni's, Ravens' all black, and the Falcons black with the red helmet. The Seahawks uniforms are cool, too.

New clip put out from Cowboy's training camp to get fans excited for Dez's upcoming season. The coverage from Mo Claiborne looks to be good on all of these receptions. The dubstep soundtrack, not so much.
Cowboys' offensive line is a joke. They will be lucky to make the playoffs.
I wouldn't go that far, their left side is pretty damn good. Their LOL 1st round center draft pick is slated to start (disaster-in-waiting) and Doug Free gave up pressure at an absurd clip last year, so overall the line isn't that good (certainly bottom 1/3), but it's not terrrrrrible.
I'm pretty sure they suck horribly. And Smith is not good. He played like dogshiz last year.
They do not suck horribly, they're just not good. There are anywhere from 5-10 OL's that are worse than them.
I don't know why you think Smith was dogsh*t, he was not great as a pass blocker, but he was a bulldozer in the run game (which makes you wonder why Garrett didn't run Murray behind him 2 out of every 4 downs while the team was struggling). That levels out to an average OT.

I hope to see Smith continue to improve. Doug Free has been getting blown past ever since Dallas, unwisely, made him the highest paid RT in the league. He was benched in the middle of several games last year and took a 50% pay cut this year. They need to quit picking up other teams cast aways on the interior line and try to land a quality player. I wasn't too happy when they let Pro Bowler Gurode walk. Alas, the whole team always manages to let me down. At least Houston seems to be making all the right moves.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
