I am going to email that gif to every mouth-breathing Jets fan who flipped out because the team didn't trade up to get Tavon Austin, accompanied with his stat line so far this season.
You fake something like that, next time those guys will try to behead you.

In defense of Austin, although I have no allegiance whatsoever, I feel like part of the problem for his production this year falls on the Rams for not finding creative ways to use him (screens, etc) and maybe not having a QB/O-line that can get him the ball down the field, although I haven't seen a whole lot of them this year so I could be talking out my a*s.

They were trying different ways earlier in the season and have seemed to stop that completely (4 rushing attempts in the first 3 games, none since), but he's also a very limited player. He's having trouble getting off the LOS because any CB in the NFL has a size advantage on him and can run him off his routes, he isn't a good route runner so he's limited to simple routes where guys of his stature are at a big disadvantage and he's not making people miss in the open field when he finally does get it.
Austin could very well turn into a good WR, but he isn't one right now and to get picked in the top-10 in the NFL draft, you should be able to do something well besides returning punts.
Edit: To clarify, Brian Schottenheimer is a dope, but Austin doesn't help himself very much.
#1 Seattle 14-2 #2 New Orleans 13-3 #3 Chicago 12-4 #4 Dallas 9-7 #5 Green Bay 10-6 #6 San Francisco 10-6
I know that I'm not going out on too many limbs here, but this is my updated predictions.
AFC for the hell of it:
#1 Denver 14-2 #2 Cincinnati 13-3 #3 New England 13-3 #4 Indianapolis 11-5 #5 Kansas City 11-5 #6 Houston 10-6
Not half bad. If I would have left off the predicted records, it would've looked even better. If I could change anything, other than the records, I would switch Indy and New England, and put Green Bay at #3 with Detroit at #6 and San Fran at #5. As far as replacing Houston, who do you honestly replace them with? Maybe the Jets? Maybe San Diego?
EDIT: Also, I realize that my prediction was made after Week 3, so it's not fair to compare to most of yours that were made in July.

Yea I agree with all of this. Physically he just isn't where he needs to be to be a successful receiver in the NFL. For his sake I hope he can work on that.
I only missed on Falcons, Giants and Texans. everyone thought those teams would be a lot better. all the other picks have a chance to make the playoffs.

Sure about that?
yea. they could end up with that 6th spot just as well as your Jets could.

Dolphins have one last chance to prove their worth Thursday. The backend of their schedule isn't that daunting, so if they are good enough to be a playoff team, they shouldn't have any trouble getting there. I don't think they get it done.

The Dolphins' starting OT's have given up a combined: 15 sacks, 13 QB hits and 33 pressures....IN SEVEN GAMES. They're ranked 60th and 65th on PFF out of like 72 or 73 total tackles. Teams have to be salivating while watching film. I like Tannehill (unfortunately), but they are not setting him up for success by throwing big money at an overrated deep threat WR parading around as a #1 and making lateral defensive moves.
Edit: This gif makes me laugh because when I watch it I pretend Tannehill is saying "Hike. And I'm dead."

I feel so bad for QB's when you see them take hits like that, with several blockers just standing around.
Tannehill doesn't even bother to look to his right, otherwise he could have avoided the brunt of that hit. Tyson Clabo is a trainwreck, though, he will get his QB beheaded if he doesn't sort it out.

He doesn't, but it's a max protect play. He had what looks like at least 7 blockers for 4 rushers. He should never have to look at the DE and sacrifice one of his progressions. If you're a QB and you're running max protect plays that end like that... you've gotta be terrified back there.

Agreed, the sack is absolutely not his fault, but I was just saying that he could have made it a less memorable sack if he peeked right and saw Mario Williams bearing down on him. I knew Jonathan Martin (the LT) would be dicey in pass protection, but Clabo's play makes Martin look like Walter Jones out there.
I'm just picturing Muhammad Wilkerson throwing him on his *ss and beheading Tannehill and trying not to get overly excited.

I really didn't expect Clabo to play so poorly this year. I thought the Dolphins line was going to improve. You have to question the men who dial up the pass protections, because some of these sacks don't make any sense. The Jets D line is going to have a field day when these teams meet up.

On that play alone you have three double teams at the point of attack and not one of them is Buffalo's best pass rusher. Makes sense.
The weird part is Incognito and Pouncey are both playing very well and their RG is average, but the T's are so awful so far this year it makes the entire unit look like a disaster. Another piece playing into that puzzle is their RB's are absolutely awful at blitz pickup.
The Jets and Phins play twice in the final 7 games, including Week 17 which may have playoff implications. People think Jets/Pats is the biggest rivalry in the AFC East? Nope. Jets/Phins. F*ck that team and their fair-weather a-hole fans.
I would also bet that you would be totally unsurprised that Incognito got brought up as a player involved in Jonathan Martin flipping sh*t because of a prank.

I think the 'Skins are one of the more glaring wrong answers here.

While it is still a very long shot, it's a little premature to fully count the Redskins out at 3-5 in the crappy NFC East. Just remember that Washington started out 3-6 last year, and ended up 10-6. Minnesota up next.
