This month was going to be my first vote, but nothing really worth it.
Ty Segall's Sleeper comes out August 20. He can be hit or miss at times, but Slaughterhouse was legitimately one of the best records of last year. Also keeping an eye out for Porcelain Raft, he's got a neat shoegazey electronic rock type of vibe going on. And of course, Earl Sweatshirt coming out the same day as both of those records.

im really trying to keep my expectations in check for that Ty Segall album. Slaughterhouse, unfortunately, was my introduction to his stuff. I'll be sure to check out Porcelain Raft.
You already think Moderat is going to be the best released this month? I felt it was pretty middle of the road.
Electronic music expert over here, PMO.
Ha. Far from it. I just wasn't very impressed by the album as a whole. There were a couple of songs I really enjoyed, but I wasn't wowed. All my selections of the month are purely subjective, and based off of how much I enjoyed listening to it. For example, Deafheaven's Sunbather was obviously really well composed and executed, but I could not get past the vocals and just did not enjoy it.
I'm always open to other's thoughts though to sway my opinions, which is why I enjoy this board.
