Well, AMOK has officially been released and it seems as though all of the major music publications have the same guy writing their album reviews for them. I have not come across one solid review of this album and I feel it deserves more credit than what it is getting. I have been listening to the leak for the past week as I patiently wait for my LP to arrive today and I have really enjoyed this album. I also feel like this album could translate into a great live sound! Am I the only one that feels like it deserves more than the 6 out of 10 it is averaging in its reviews thus far?
I like the sound of the album, but I find that it gets a little monotonous after listening from start to finish. FWIW, I'm not a huge Radiohead fan and have a similar opinion of most of their albums.
That being said, I also think it would make for a fun live show. These songs leave a lot of space for improv which I enjoy. Hopefully they come through Atlanta on their tour.
I haven't heard the album yet but, I was literally just clicking around the website atomsforpeace.info and I think I found a hidden track or something. Go there, click on the second clock. The one that is not spinning. When you put your cursor over it should start to spin (click)
it just started downloading a track called What the Eyeballs Did and some album art.
This might already be widely know but I thought it was cool as shit and haven't heard the song before. I was already going to get the album but now I'm not waiting.

My hometown in ruins. This album artwork is the shiz, glad I pre-ordered the deluxe LP.
I think it sounds great, I really am disappointed it is getting bad reviews Flea's bass is excellent the whole thing is groovy and it satisfies my Radiohead craving for the time being. Really it's everything I could have asked for, so f-ck off Consequence of Sound!
My LP finally arrived in the mail today. Amazing artwork all around. I've only listened to it once all the way through, but have fallen in love with it!
