R. Kelly: Gotham CIty
Something about R. Kelly singing a song for a Batman movie at Bonnaroo would just be too hilariously weird too pass up. Plus, the song is pretty catchy.
Seriously though,
Paul McCartney: Tomorrow Never Knows (I can dream) Tom Petty: You Don't Know How it Feels Bjork: Play Dead The xx: Night Time Grizzly Bear: He Hit Me Animal Collective: What Would I Want? Sky/The Purple Bottle/Summertime Clothes Beach House: Silver Soul Cat Power: He War Tame Impala: Half Full Glass of Wine Araabmuzik: Streetz Tonight Charli XCX: I Don't Care (Icona Pop) Japandroids: Continuous Thunder
Wilco - Impossible Germany Bjork - Hyberballad R. Kelly- When A Womans Fed Up Wu-Tang - Bring Da Ruckus The National - Lit Up Grizzly Bear - Speak In Rounds Kendrick Lamar - Hiipower Cat Power - Manhattan A$AP Rocky - LVL Jim James - A New Life Tame Impala - Elephant Portugal. The Man - The Woods

Audra and I were talking about this last night (while listening to my Alt-J record that FINALLY came in) and the truth is, there really isn't any ONE SONG that we HAVE TO hear. Its like... Macca is going to be great, no matter what the setlist looks like. Petty is pretty much what you expect, plays lots of his hits. Plenty of sing alongs and all that. Wilco - well, it would be nice to hear certain songs, but the reality is, they fall in the same category. We know their library pretty well, and they will play some of our favs for sure. Art of Almost is an amazing song live, but we saw it twice last year. We never saw War on War or Kamera and either of those would be great, but the show is going to rule regardless. I could go down the list like this, but you get the idea. So then we are to the smaller bands. They will pretty much definitely play their one or two songs that EVERYBODY loves. No need to put that on the list.
So what's that leave?
Well, I really don't know. I put California Stars up there earlier, but I almost want to say Id rather NOT see them play it. See, when they played it at the St Augustine Amphitheater, it was a pretty special moment for Audra and I. It was our first REAL concert together, and that was the song we were listening to a lot at the time. We left for Hangout the next day to see them again. That moment in time was fantastic. Seeing it again, IDK. Maybe Id rather not.
I guess Id like to see someone play a kickass cover of A Day in the Life, or a crazy good While My Guitar Gently Weeps, or some Beatles cover that just knocks my socks off. I guess that'd be about it. Im just looking forward to the shows regardless of what they play
