Must See/Definitely Maybe/Quite Possibly/No Way 2013 Edition
I did this thread last year (yes, with the same corny thread name). It's a good way of figuring out what bands are more important on the schedule than others.
Must See - Don't pick too many because these are your cannot miss shows Definitely Maybe - You don't plan on missing these shows unless paired up against a Must See Quite Possibly - You like or are intrigued by these artists and def. will go if the schedule allows, but you won't lose sleep if missed. No Way - You're friend couldn't bribe you to go to these shows
* = dropped down a level because I've already seen live ** = dropped down two levels since I've seen live multiple times (seeing shows I've never seen before is important to me personally)
Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Wilco David Byrne & St. Vincent Jim James Superjam Cat Power Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeros Billy Idol Foals Amadou & Mariam Purity Ring
Paul McCartney * Bjork Wu Tang Clan The National The Lumineers Passion Pit Grizzly Bear Animal Collective Of Monsters & Men Ed Helms Superjam ZZ Top * Beach House Macklemore & Ryan Lewis Jim James Tame Imapala * Boys Noize Sam Bush & Del McCoury Local Natives * Dirty Projectors Trombone Shorty A-Trak John McLaughin & The 4th Dimension Alt-J Father John Misty Baroness * Milo Greene The Tallest Man On Earth Conspirator * Paper Diamond Holy Ghost! What do you have against Frank Turner? Just curious.
Nothing against him personally, but every time a song of his comes on, I seem to tune out the 1st half of the song, and then for 2nd half of the song, I get a "i need to change who every this is" feeling.
Esp. that friends and countrymen song he's famous for

Haha I was expecting this kind of response. Death Grips is too abrasive for me, all reviews have called The xx's live stuff boring, I'm not really into the metal of Baroness, and I tried really hard to get into Japandroids but they just weren't doing it for me. I suppose if there's nothing else going on I'd wander over to Japandroids but I'll probably be using that time to discover new music in the other tents.
This is my perspective, there are a lot of artists on this years lineup that I will probably never get to see again, so even if I may not be a huge R Kelly fan, you bet your ass I am seeing him. Bands like Mumford which tour a lot and will be around for awhile, they arent my biggest priority. Keeping that in mind...
Must See: Paul McCartney Bjork Wu Tang Clan R Kelly The National* Death Grips Swans Four Tet
Definitely Maybe: Baroness* Grizzly Bear The XX Cat Power Tom Petty David Byrne & St Vincent* Jim James Jim James Superjam Ed Helms Superjam Earl Sweatshirt Holy Ghost!
Quite Possibly: Pretty much the rest of the lineup falls under this category, such a great lineup this year.
No Way: Matt & Kim ZZ Top I have nothing against these two bands but neither of them are my cup of tea. Im sure both will put on good shows though
