So yeah. I'm kinda tired of my hair. Had the exact same hairstyle for like 7 years. I figured if there is anyone's opinions I can trust it's random internet strangers (and some not random strangers). I don't care if it stays long, short, or anything in between, I just want a change.

You are one of the few guys I think pulls off the long look, though. Also, are you like 7 feet tall? It looks like your head is about to touch the ceiling.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
Oddly I know Banshee in real life from OUTSIDE of Bonnaroo and here is my suggestion fake dread braid it for Bonnaroo then cut it off after you get home! With a day or two of prep you could make some hella locks!

I have been going to the same hairdresser for like 7 years. I don't bother telling her what I want, or asking her what she thinks. When I get there we start talking and I leave with whatever I leave with.
My advice is to go to a semi-expensive place (Aveda salons are a good bet) and get your hair cut once the way you normally would. Don't mention to the person doing the cutting that you are thinking about something different. If you leave and feel very confident in the cut and the person, the next time you go back, let them know you are wanting to change it up. They will have books, ideas and new stuff from recent or semi-recent conventions that people who aren't in that industry just don't have.
Then, put your faith into them and go for it. Only say no to things that you're uncomfortable with.
