Damnnnn just checked Gary Clark Jr's tour dates and he is all over the place this winter/spring. I guess he is an annointed one and gets to take the jet to countries now. Going Europe>Japan>San Antonio>Sao Paulo, then the Crossroads fest in NYC on April 12 & 13. So he will def be at Tortuga on the Saturday of this festival. I could see him going Miami> Orlando> Jacksonville> Wanee after this.
I don't think Wanee would proximity clause'd him since he is still not that well known.

He just sat in with the Rolling Stones for that NY show. One more album and that dude might be sub-headlining fests. I think most people know who he is now since he played just about every fest last year and tore about a million faces off with his gnar.

Obviously people who know shizt about music know who he is, but he just had his first album come out. Is he getting radio play? Most people only know about music from the radio.

Well I meant people that go to festivals. And with Tortuga having f'n Kenny Chesney headlining, that is going to bring a bunch of people who typically don't go to festivals and expose them to Gary. You're right though, he's still not a big enough draw to be in proximity clause negotiations yet, so he will probably be at Wanee too. I'm just saying he's going to be blowing up even more this year by exposing himself to so many different types of crowds.

Hakuna, I'm a country radio girl too. If this were closer, I'd totally do this with you. Or if they were a tad closer in distance, maybe I could have even taken the week off and done both fests as there's a good chance I'll be at Wanee..
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
