I just saw that we have a new member who's name is oceanbilly. It caused an uproar in my head. I'm 100% serious when I say that I wake up humming Caribbean Queen. Every. Quacking. Day.
It's not a favorite, by any means. It just got stuck in there.
We're all a mess of paradoxes. Believing in things we know can't be true. We walk around carrying feelings too complicated and contradictory to express. But when it all becomes too big, and words aren't enough to help get it all out, there's always music.
I say you are a mean mean man G! I'm one of those peeps that has this happen every quacking day until we turn some music on. Today was Sheep go to heaven, Goats go to hell. I will not be a victim of your suggestive post.
Right now I have "How to be a tigger, how to be a tigger, how to be a tigger is up to you" seared into the frontal lobe. I have a 2 and 1/2 year old, what can I say.

I've had this song stuck in my head off and on for 8-9 years now. It never goes away. When I'm dead and rotting in the ground, my teeth will be chattering along to this fucking thing. I hate it.

This was on at the restaurant I was at last night, started a intense discussion about how much Lisa Loeb probably makes in license fees each year. And I also woke up singing it.

All day it was "Slow Slow Tune" by My Morning Jacket. I had it stuck in my head since last night for no real reason and it drifted over into today. Might be because of the Port Chester show where I had a distinct moment of extreme happiness right before the guitar kicked in after some "...radiate the gold" lines. At some point during the day I played the port chester recording to hear it while driving and I got a huge smile on my face. Satisfied.
This is the version that I listened to so I could feed the hunger. The part that put a huge smile on my face when seeing it live is precisely at the 3:29 mark. Gave me chills and made me like this song way better than I had given it credit for.
I sing it everyday while working. I haven't even listened to it in ages, but it has a permanent spot in my brain, and it seems to be my go to song to sing to myself while driving.

So much so that the other night I had a dream I was at a Daniel Rossen concert, but he started playing this song for some reason. I was freaking out about how it couldn't be possible, it's an Ed Droste song and Daniel doesn't even do the "oooh ohhh" (no idea how to type that out) part. Naturally no one else in the dream realized the absurdity of it.

This little fuckker wormed it's way into my ear in kindergarten and burrowed around in my brain until a run of strong antibiotics cured me around junior high.
